UberCon: Las Vegas was such a huge damn success last year (Thank you again, Nicole. And we miss you, PLEASE COME BACK SO ME AND TIM CAN FAKE FIGH AND OGGLE OVER YOU!) that we're doing it again this year!
Last year included booze, gambling, more booze, more gambling, Penn & Teller, more booze, kinky hotel sex that kept me locked out of my room at 4 in the morning that was blamed on TV porn, more gambling and making roullette folks talk to you at 3AM!
IT WAS GLORIOUS!

But anyway, for those of you not wanting lies and entertainment, here's the skinny.
SkinnyKenny and TigerLilly and someone else I can't remember were making plans to go to vegas that weekend to see the Rolling Stones at the MGM Grand. Or at least going. Or something.
Anyway, a few people caught wind of this. Since the conversation was on this post: http://www.ubersite.com/m/81627
A few things lead to another, and now I am gonna take the horns on this. I'll be setting up a group block at the Flamingo Hotel for the weekend. Rooms look to be around $250 a night, but since you should plan on doubling up, you're really looking at $125 a night per person. If you REALLY need, we can triple up a room, get it around $80 or so a night.

Was $650 a lot to pay for round trip air fare and three nights at The Flamingo? I never know these things. It sounded like a good deal after the whole bottle of red zin that I drank last night.

Doesn't sound all too bad. I won a game at a bar and WCCC sent me out to Vegas from Hartford this past summer and the total cost was around $1400 for two people. So $650 for one is reasonable.
I've won quite a few things by beating drunks in stupid games at bars in Hartford. You should really try it, you'd be surprised as to how easy it is.

I'm driving. Go across Hoover dam on the way. The construction for the new birdge/bypass is well underway. I went to an ASCE meeting a few months ago, and a guy from HDR gave a presentation on the enineering/design process of it. It was amazing. they had a presentation of a graphc analysis of the bridge structure during a high magnitude earthquake, and it waved like a flag in the wind. Pretty cool. I wanna really I do, but I have work deadlines the first week of the month, accounting stuff. That and we're already planning to go to Tahoe in mid March so I can make another attempt to completely do my knee in on the ski slopes and finally get that bionic knee I've been dreaming of for years.
