Many of you may remember my post about our trip to Supai last year. If not, chechk it out here:

It is one of the most beautiful, pristine places on earth. Well, some of you expressed interest in going. Loki, I remember you in particular expressed interest. The trip is on again this year, first of August. That's when they have the Peach Festival, which consists of many local and regional tribes bringing cattle, horses, squaws. They have a rodeo, a cattle drive from the trailhead to the village, the Miss Havasupai, Teen Havasupai, and baby Havasupai contest, and then later at night, after the sun has gone down, Reggae music into the wee hours of the morning. Reservations must be made early, but I have a friend who has been down there 60-70 times, and he knows the ropes. If you wanna go, be prepared for primitave conditions. Drinking water filters through the canyon walls, but is safe to drink with no treatment. Everything you need, you carry in and carry out yourself. There are natives who will rent you pack animals, but it can get expensive.
In short, the more the merrier. If you're interested, email me at tenacken.at.yahoo.com. I know it's early, but we need to start getting an idea of the volume of folks who might show up. We'll handle all reservations, determine how much each bod will owe, etc. Handle all of the logistics.
It'll be a once in a lifetime, life changing even, I promise you.

It's been done. Some lived, some didn't. It's very deep in the center, but who knows what washed down in the last monsoon and is lurking just below the surface at the bottom. There's another fall, Beaver, about half a mile downstream that has safi cliffs up to about 60-70' feeet high that I've jumped off of.
