Congratulations, man. I know how good it feels when your team finally gets over the hump. And the way they won the game....holy shit. That was probably the best football game I've ever seen -- even better that Miami/Ohio State in 2002.
Incidentally, Ohio State lost two games this season: At home by three to Texas (#1 team in the nation) and by seven to Penn State (#2 team in the nation) in front of a hostile 100,000-plus crowd in Happy Valley. Not a bad season....

As close as it was I thought the whole flow of the game got messed up by the rancid officiating, both on field and in the booth. They stopped to review every other play because the officials couldn't get the initial call right, and then they still didn't get half of them right. The game was close, but I personally can't say that it lived up to the hype as it unfolded pretty much exactly as I expected, with Texas absorbing the initial blow but not faltering. I would have much rather seen a Texas/OSU rematch, as Ohio State's offense had no direction or identity when they first met.

As it ended up, it was just another loss in a two-game losing betting streak.

Vince Young was just....un-fucking-believable. I soaked in that whole game...all the big names had great days, but Vince Young was head and shoulders above everyone else last night. Now if only the Jets can find a way to get him with the 4-spot....

Yes, I watched the same postgame. In fact, I have it on tape. You don't see Bush or Young running around by Herby, Corso, and Fowler or anything after the game, you just hear one of those three mention that Young was running behind them saying. "Who won the Heisman!" because he felt shafted when Bush won it.

that's not what the announcers were saying while it was going on in the background. Were you not watching the same aftergame show? Leinart isn't guilty of being honest, because in this instance, they weren't the better team. They lost. If they were the better team, they would have won.
I'm with you on the string of shitty questions, though. USC played a really tough, really amazing game that I couldn't change the channel from. They didn't deserve to be cornholed by the media like that.

I don't blame Leinart for his post-game comments. He's guilty of being honest. What I had a problem with was Holly Rowe's stupid fucking questions.
"Matt, you came back for your senior year. Is this how you saw it ending?"
Christ lady, why not just ask him how it feels be a big fat stupid loser poopyhead while you're at it?
And it was Young doing the Heisman thing to Corso and them as a joke, not Bush. Bush walked off the field and into the locker room.

I want Vince Young to be my oreo baby-daddy. I love him.... also, he's HUGE when you stand next to him. I'm very proud of those boys for playing a good clean game and (to the best of my knowledge) winning with dignity and grace. When I heard the Quarterback for USC say (essentially) "Yeah, they may have won, but we're still the better team!" and when Bush ran past the announcer's desk screaming "WHo won the heisman?! Who won the heisman?!" and throwing poses, I was SO glad it wasn't our boys acting like that. Jason (native San Diegan) bet me a week of doing the dishes that the fans downtown would get out of hand and cause damage. They didn't. As proud as I am of this win, I'm even more proud of the behaviours displayed.

I disagree. Praying for a favorable coinflip and playing for a field goal is NOT better than actually having to play at the top of their game, although I would like to see them start outside the 35 in college.
