I lied a few times, mostly to myself.
I vowed I would never get an account on uber. But I did.
I vowed I wouldn't get caught up in any uber "scandals." But I did.
I vowed I wouldn't ever post anything. But now I'm doing just that.
Finally, I stated that I wouldn't add any more fuel to a particular fire, but that's just what I'm afraid this post might do. It's been nagging at me for a couple days now and I can't stand it anymore. So I had to resort to writing a post. So be it.

Is the second post fucked up or funny? The rating indicates the latter. Is it really making fun of a girl that died a miserable death after having been trapped for a couple days? Is it funny making fun of people that had to resort to diving out a window? Apparently it is. And I'll be the first to admit that I definitely got a bit of a guilty chuckle seeing a santa hat on a person about to become a pancake.
We sure do find it funny laughing at people of all walks of life and even each other, no matter what the circumstances. I'm sure the suicide divers didn't ask to be photographed. But they were and the photo ended up on uber. Please don't confuse my ramblings as an indictment of mbstateside since that's really not what I'm up to here. I just want to expose this level of hypocrisy I've noticed on Uber, no more so than in this post: http://www.ubersite.com/m/81873.
When it's "one of our own," we lose our right to laugh, right? Oh, what's that? It's not right for random uber assholes to have a cheap laugh at this good guy's expense?
It's funny, because I could swear that the vast majority of uberers are random assholes to the plethora of the dead/maimed/physically-or-mentally-disabled people that we have fun with in our meaningless posts. But whatever.
To say corn nugget "didn't have the right" to post a dedication to a good dude is downright ludicrous. This is uber. Last time I checked there aren't any rules other than the few obscure points of etiquette enforced by bart's iron fist. I'll admit, I didn't know ITM personally, but from what I gathered by the reviews in nugget's post he valued his privacy. Fine, but that brings us back to the 3rd paragraph before this one, sentence 2.
With my logic stated, I'm prepared for whatever onslaught comes from the attached pic. If you laughed at mbstateside's christmas card but find this offensive, you are a hypocrite. If you found both offensive, you are more than entitled to your opinion. If you find both funny....well, you must have been on uber for a while.

Thanks for your cleverness. The fact is, I couldn't think up anything more creative for the mspaint job. And there's not many non-graphic-design-related companies in the world that allow their employees to keep photoshop on their computers.
but that's all beside the point, isn't it? i executed poorly, but the point is that people get pissed when it's "one of their own" and I thought uber was the last place that would happen

You had a chance, here, to point out the fact that people sometimes go to extreme lengths
to grab a little piece of arbitary valadation wherever they can find it.
But your presentation sucked.
No matter...deep down, everyone's aware of this fact...they don't care about it...
