I don't know why my fellow countrymen allow themselves to be manipulated by the powers that be. Redneck sister fucking George Bush lovers, versus Hippy peacenick douchebag pussies. Why the hatred between countrymen while both major political parties fuck the populace at every chance. Why don't the citizens of the United States rally behind one important issue like election reform, is it any coincidence that we are too busy fighting amongst ourselves about bullshit? Is it quite possible that your elected representative benefits from our preoccupation with abortion, prayer in schools, gay marriage etc? Meanwhile your elected official is taking fistfulls of money from special interest groups, and completely ignoring the cares and concerns of his constituency.
I dont want to hear about how this one sold their soul to oil, or this corporation because EVERY state and federal level politician takes election donations from business interest. The cost of running for office is just rediculous, so much so that our nations leaders form an elite class. Could you afford to run for a state or national office? I doubt it. Granted once in awhile there comes along a person who is such a suck up, douchebag, asshole that he can claw his way to the top by being a yes-man to the right people along the way. However many of the nations best and brightest will never have the shot at public office, in the meantime we fill the seats with crooked, self serving, privaledged fucking lawyers and private sector failures.
WE are supposed to run this country, the fucking people are the check signers in this bitch. So instead of the politicians working for us, they turn the country into a cultural battleground. We need to stop fighting long enough to demand election reform in this country. The airwaves belong to us, the radiowaves belong to us, therefore when we are choosing who to represent us all candidates should be given free, equal air and radio coverage. That one small step would bring us very close to eliminating private donations to politicians, and the sooner we can do that the better.

I like Maddox as well, but as far as not taking a stance on any issues well that isnt really correct. The point of the post is that the most important thing that we can do in the United States is demand election reform. That one issue supercedes all others in importance, because if you havent figured it out yet we are getting our assholes reamed by our officials.
