I just received this riddle a couple of days ago (not on here), and solved it after some deliberation. this isn't really hard if you just stick with it and if you're not a fuck-ass.

The fish lives in the green house with the German, who smokes Princes and drinks coffee.
I know some people got it before me but I took too long on it not to post it :)

+2 for making me think at work. I haven't looked at any reviews. This took me about a half hour because my brain thinks reeeeal slow with these. I better be correct:
BRIT owns RED house, keeps BIRD, drinks MILK, smokes PALL MALL
SWEDE owns WHITE house, keeps DOG, drinks BEER, smokes BLUEMASTER
DANE owns BLUE house, keeps HORSE, drinks TEA, smokes BLENDS
GERMAN owns GREEN house, keeps FISH, drinks COFFEE, smokes PRINCES
NORWEGIAN owns YELLOW house, keeps CATS, drinks WATER, smokes DUNHILLS
Das Deutsch has der fish. I hope...

I did it in French, I don't remember if I had it right.
Norwegian, Danish, British, German, Swede?
Clearly, Einstein was a white supremacist.

LSAT flashback.
I'm glad I read the reviews first or I would have had an obsessive-compulsive need to figure this shit out.

It took me about 30 minutes to solve but hey i'm in work anyway. The answer is the German owns the fish. I could explain if needed.

The Norwegian lives in the first house, which is yellow. He/she/it smokes Dunhills, drinks water and keeps cats.
The blue house is next, containing the tea-swilling Dane that chain-smokes Blends and keeps horses for reasons that are entirely his/her own.
In the center is the red house, with a British person pounding milk in between Pall Mall drags in their best Clockwork Orange impression. They keep birds rather than snakes though.
The German keeps the pike in the fourth house, which is green, smokes Princes and drinks coffee probably while hiding from global authorities for war crimes.
At the end is the Swede in the white house, smoking Blue Masters and sharing beers with his dogs. My guess: Genny Ice.
Thanks. That was fun in a nerdish sort of way.

I just put three -'s after the longest answer in the column and eyeballed the other -'s. I always forget that the font size and type in the reply box is different than the actual reply.
I didn't cheat, either.

The German has the fish.
I know this because germans are generally too boring to have any other kind of pet.
Also, You can figure it out with a grid.

It's actually very easy to work out, you just make a grid and then voila.
