so this week has been pretty slow due to senior finals and a wrap up to IB orals. in this instance, ive been spending more and more time rummaging through my old files on my three main computers, when i stumbled across my old emulations file. 'ahh yes,' i said to myself, 'i remember these. good ol super nintendo ROMs that kept me occupied back in the last millenium.' so, being the spontaneous person that i am (this is irony, you jackass), i dropped all of my plans and settled in to a nice little session of my favorites from the 90s. how could people not love games like Demon's Crest or Bastard? so after i did a few runs on the good ROMs i had, i felt kind of empty in that these were a mere fraction of my former archives of classics. it is now (technically) illegal to download liscensed games/ROMs due to copyright infringement laws and such, so my old stompin grounds of www.vimm.net are just a litlle bland tease to what i once had and now want.

so to my main focus: in the spirit of sharing, can anyone tell me where i can acquire high quality ZSNES/SNES9X ROMs without going through all the legal bullshit at some sites or paying at others? and dont say "use kazaa/imesh", because ive looked and theres not much there. and if you dont know where to find em, but have some of your own/know someone who does, could we work out something? id be a liar if i said i was desperate, but it would make me a lot happier...

I have a shitload of nes/snes roms at home. Once the italian phone company installs my goddamn DSL connection i can hook it up. But you'd be better to find them elsewhere because these bastards are gonna take 10 fuckin years to install it.

I am not sure about SNES ROMS, as I was one of the COOL peps with a Genesis, if you want a good selection of those ROMS plus some for the NEO GEO, head on over to www.classicgaming.com.

The best part, its totally leagal, as they only have ROMS that are in the public domain now, and there are LOTS.

hmmm...i haven't been able to find a site that doesn't a have a few holes due to copyright infringement...but

www.cherryroms.com usually is all right, i think. of course, there's a lot of porn ads on it. just ignore those.

also, on kazaa, i am usually able to put in 'snes roms rpg" and i can download like 50 rpg roms at a time...i once did...got all the classics. Chrono Trigger, FF3 and so on...check that out if that's your bag

Wait a minute, Marge. I saw "Mrs. Doubtfire." This is a man in drag!
