Hi all. Its been a bit since I have posted, so I thought I would come by, and share this little funny story with you. True story- it happened last Monday, at the Wal-Mart where I work part time, while I am going to school.
I work in the electronics department. And I am standing there, stocking a shelf, and a guy walks up, and says "Hi, I need a patch cable to connect my VCR to my TV". So I said "Like a coaxial cable?". And the guy says "Yeah". So, I start walking over to where all the cables are, and I ask the guy "About how long do you need it?"
The guy thinks for a second, and says "Well, I'll probably need it for a couple years"

No, never worked at Walmart. But everyone has to have a job....better than supporting people on the welfare rolls, methinks.

Well, if people refused to work for wal-mart it couldn't exist and other small businesses, which I fully support, would rise to meet the demand.
A city near my hometown managed to close down one Wal-Mart by unionizing it. Small shops and retailers are reopening and birds are chipping. I thought that was the greatest news ever.

i understand. im the enemy though. target all the way.
we have a hobo who goes through our store daily, and every day people mention him to us, so i lean in to them and say "hes actually a social scientist trying to see how people react to poorer people in "their" environment of upper class shopping. and they almost always go up and start chatting him up. too bad hes just a crazy hobo hahhaa
