Here's another Uber Art...done with acrylic this time around, which I found out I hate. It does not glide onto the canvas well at all, it's like trying to paint with peanut butter. I copied a Matisse, but lopped off the top part of the painting, for no reason I can explain. Also, here's Uber Art 4, unphotoshopped. It actually looks better, I don't know why I messed with it. Next project...Urbane's last and most infamous self-portrait...a la Cubism! There's a box within a box. Ok, enough of that...but it will be something nice to look at, promise. We've all seen enough of that thing.

It's good, Mario... the secret to getting a good "glide" with acrylics is to use a damp brush and mix in just a touch of water. I myself like to use the cheapie acryalics you can get at craft stores for about 89 cents a tube. They may technically be fabric paint, but their consistency is good.

uh that's a copy. if you didn't do it on purpose well you subconsciously copied someone else.

I would have thought that was clear, when you said "I copied a Matisse"

DBBGbus waited a bit before crying about this bitmap, but sniffle he did though his little thumb be directed upward.

Acrylic's good if you know how to use it. Furthermore, there are tons of different ways you can paint with it: watered down for a Watercolour look, thick for an Oil look, somewhere in-between, or using varying degrees of opacity in the same painting.
It just takes practise I guess.

I like the Matisse homage. Worth studying he is.
