No. Not at all. Three years ago I lost my closest friend, Darcy, in a drunk driving accident--my mother is practically dead--currently residing in a treament home for alcholics. I didn't really know my dad. Why am I telling you this? Because I think it shows how emotionally detached my upbringing was--no brothers, no sisters, no real family besides my grandfather who was and remains my only mentor in this life. When I lose him, that's it.
I don't fear his death. Just like I don't fear my own, in fact, I look forward to being buried in the dirt. I want to feel close to the only real mother I've ever had--the earth. I think there is something pure in being recycled by bacteria and deposited back in the soil for the trees or whatever else to eat up and put to use.
I'm 29, single and upper middle class. I own my own home, I make more money than any 29 year old should. I live life large in everything I do, there is no other way to do it. I am self made and sometimes self destructive--that's all the god and satan I need.

Thanks for your concern Lisa, but I assure you I am amphetamine free, and have been for over 18 months. My death of choice as you probably know was cocaine, I have learned to live without it.
As for the drinking, my job can be amazingly stressful--remember, I trade with other people's money, not just my own--I honestly care for the clients I have, I care about their futures, and I care and respect how hard some of them worked to earn whatever savings they have.
This last week was my 29th birthday, I worked right through the week, 'saving' my night out for saturday--my best friend's birthday. I binged, it was fun.
