Luckily it's not the 80's anymore, but then again maybe it's just taken this long for the effects of big hair to present itself to us. Aerosol. Holes in the ozone.
If you're living on the East Coast, you know what I'm talking about. If you're in Cali or Texas or something, you're probably yawning and reclining in a nice chair outside in shorts and a t-shirt.
Or hopefully topless if you're a chick (not the one from my last post though).
Anyways, it's been unseasonably warm and I'm not complaining. Should we keep this up? Should we launch ozone-destroyers into the atmosphere? What if we're able to colonize on Mars before the ice caps melt and drown us all or whatever? I'd be down with that.
Well, that's really all I have.

The orientation of the magnetic fields in the igneous rocks on the ocean floor is arranged in 'stripes' of alternating polarity. When the rock is liquid, it's magnetic field aligns with that of the earth. The 'stripes' indicate reversals of the magnetic field.
The earth's magnetic field is declining very quickly even now. It is now about 10% weaker than it was in 1845 (http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2004/09/0909_040909_earthmagfield.html) Some estimates have it near zero (ie reversing) in as little as 1500 years.
As the magnetic field fades, the protection it offers by deflecting solar radiation also fades. More energy from the sun (for Habeeb: fusion fusion fusion) is absorbed by the earth. Temperatures increase.
See how this works?

No. Global warming is not going to be good in any conceivable way for the future survival of mankind.
We can either bring out the H-Car now or start the Martian terraforming, because we're on a collision course with the cruel and harsh realities of a Mother Nature who's PISSED THE FUCK OFF.

It's about 62 Christing degrees out here right now. I may as well drive home with the windows down and my shirt off.
Hooray for winters that stretch longer into the spring and freeze my shit until April. LAME.
