The antithesis, more like.
Who could feel anything in times like these? It'd only slow you down. My life has no colour; it's black and white like the words on this page. Together we march forward, me and time. One instance will always pass, is passing, has passed. Once it's gone, it's really gone. As far as I'm concerned everything is history; it doesn't exist.
Live for the moment. Literally. The crying, yelling, anger, all of it, it just doesn't mean anything to me; why should it? Once the tears dry it's out of mind - out of mine anyways.
The past is dead, immutable, there's no way to change it on this one way street.
Feelings are the effect, caused by something that's already the past. They're a waste of time to me. I guess that's why I'm so ruthless. The way I see it, emotion is one of the biggest plagues of human life; that and life itself. Heh, I like to add in the second part because I like to think I relieve people of it. Life.
Yeah, I'm a "cold-blooded killer", but I seem to be the only one who knows how to live on this earth. How many animals give each other funerals or protest the killing of their prey because it's "unethical"? You say humans are intelligent species as the excuse for our caring ways, I'll give you that. What humanity doesn't know is that emotion drags it down too; one level of intelligence up and you'll join me. Smart enough to not care.
I'm the only one who will pick up the tab of a little girl born into the wrong family. Something about the fact that young girls are supposedly "innocent" seems to send shivers down the spines of fellow contractors. Doesn't bug me, and I get all the jobs I want.
Lucy Spectre, 9 years old. She's the young doe in a herd of deer for all I care; I'm the wolf that picks off the young and disabled, well, not always, but it's part of nature. Humanity can't ignore a little thing called the cycle of life.
I'm not really anti-sentient; I actually feel it when bullets pierce my torso, when an attack dog comes out of nowhere; I'm conscious of the jobs I do; I just don't make any mental connections between what physically occurs and how I think. Maybe that does make me sentient then.
Lucy was too easy. The hard wooden door creaked open and I quietly approached the bed. I could hear her short breathes; the room smelt like lilacs; she was hugging a teddy bear. It reeked of emotion. I'm saving her from a life of pointless feeling and subjecting her parents to countless amounts of it. It'll overwhelm them and control them. So much so that her father will finally pay up what he owes. I'll get my cut and move to the next.
Life is pretty damn short, especially when you think of how long everything else has been around. You come out screaming as a baby, do you think there's much point to that? Whining and bitching all the time about who knows what. Put yourself on a pedestal, why don't you. Sleep on a bed, cry your eyes out, and pretend you're not an animal like everything else suggests to the contrary. You think it makes you special. I think it just makes it easier for your prey to pick you off. Me.
You're a big girl; have your own bedroom. She looks so safe.
Animals won't be swayed by pretty words. We're all action. I draw my knife and a smile stretches across my face.
I guess I am sentient: I feel no emotion.

Didn't read this but once in a blue moon, a random minus two, for a previously stupid fucking comment, is a barrel of laughs.

Try clicking on these links and then your page will have purple on it too... and lookie, there's 3 different shades of blue with the top two bars, and the text. Wait, lookie there, I see some brown in the word uber, and, and, and who said there's no gray area? I clearly see gray buttons.

I really enjoyed it. But it was short. The starkness of the picture, the obviously innocent and gentle nature of a sleeping girl. Contrasted with the harsh nature of a grown man weilding a wicked looking knife, it fitted perfectly with the post.
By itself, post would be a 1.5 with my descretion to raise it to a +2 or a +1.
But WITH the picture, it adds that little extra flavor to help you realize the true feeling behind it. The slaying of the innocent with no sense of remorse or guilt.
+2 looks good on ya buddy. Wear it proud.

I really like your posts. They make me want to writhe around in a shallow pool of lettuce and horse vomit whilst a paraplegic watches.
