When you start working somewhere for awhile you start to notice there are words that piss the hell out of you.
I work at a bank. So everytime I hear the words deposit, withdraw, cash or check, I freak. It gets annoying. Kinda like Ron Livingston and TPS reports.
I can be out with some friends at a restaurant and if somebody said something along the lines of "cashing a check" or any other bank related activity you would find everyones face in the premises has been awesomed off within a matter of seconds(it' what i do).
It's the way people say it too. Some people(mexicans)tend to pull of some of these 1 to 3 syllable words in just over 5 syllables or more!
Cah-shu-huh?
Dee-poz-it-ah?
Sometimes I think they say it with more syllables just to drag it out longer and make me mad.
Im not hinting that I can just walk into a foreign country and magically pronounce every word right. Im telling you.
People come to me to deposit their payroll checks. So I know where they work. Do I ask them about their job? Hell no!
I work 42 hours a week, get paid part time, get part time benefits, and no commission for what I sell to customers. That's not bad considering where other people have to work. So in retrospect I have it pretty good.
I see guys bringing in checks from Toys-R-Us with the shittiest look on their faces. I would too if I worked there. But my co-workers love to strike up conversation about their job.
"Hows Toys R' Us treating you?" I hear them say.
How the fuck do you think it treats them? Look at the goddamn check. That's your answer right there. Don't remind the guy his life sucks.
Parties are also a great place to strike up conversation about work right? Hell no! Leave it alone. You work 40-42 hours a week and even more so you can go home and sit down to forget about it. Don't need people talking to you about their awesome job.
Most people on Uber could agree with me too since it's almost obvious everyone is at work writing these post. Hell I am working right now.
If you liked your job you wouldnt be posting at Uber. Unless you like your job cause you can post at Uber.
