This thing has been around for quite a time, its allways worth a review at this time of the year.

I will give you the key-and with this knowledge comes the responsibility of sharing it.I will show you the way.It is very simple.

A mind in its natural state of order,is in harmony with the universe, and such a mind is timeless. Our lives are the exspression of our minds- We are the creators of our own universe.

For as human beings we are free to will whatever state of being we desire.

Through our thoughts and our words. There is great power there. It can be a blessing or a curse, because the quality of our life is brought about by the quality of our thinking.

Thoughts produce actions-look at what we are thinking- see the pettiness and the envy, the greed and the fear, and all the other things that cause us pain and discomfort.Realise that the only thing we have absolute control over is our attitudes.See the effect they have on those around us,for each life is linked to all life and our words carry with them chain reactions -like ripples on a pond.If our thinking is in order our words will flow directly from the heart, creating ripples of love.

If we truly want to change our world we must change our thinking.Reason is our greatest tool-reasoning creates an atmosphere of understanding-which leads to caring -which is love ,

Choose our words with love .

Go forth with love.

I'd go so far as to say that our expectations create our reality: a thought is a unit of energy. Energy created. Such can't go without recourse. If you understand that, then here's how to make a desired change actually happen:

Concentrate your attention as vividly as possible on one statement of desire, and keep repeating it to yourself as you imagine its outcome. The repetition is important, because it literally activates biological and psychic patterns that then come to pass.

Trust me, it works. I bet you already know this.

Oh, btw, i love you. ~"swisher"

Yeh, well ok BranDo, Bowie probably wrote that when he was "smacked out". and full of negativity, if we all look at the world for what it is, its soo easy to be negative, thats a give up man.
To change we must look to a positive denominator not a negative one .

Roxy Music playing in the background 'Love is the drug' I can't help thinking that thinking won't do the trick nor does posting this on Über will generate change. I do believe in your good intentions but I don't agree with what you wrote.

Please feel free to do your own changing if you 'think' that you need to.

I watch the ripples change their size
But never leave the stream
Of warm impermanence and
So the days float through my eyes
But still the days seem the same
And these children that you spit on
As they try to change their worlds
Are immune to your consultations
They're quite aware
of what they're going through
Changes-D.Bowie

There is no love, Wazza. "Ripples of love" my ass, if I said what came from the heart, people around me would die. If my thoughts caused action, more people would die. Then they would come back to life as zombies and eat each other. If I were one with the universe, then the universe, and all contained therein, would have to be one with me--and frankly, I'm not into that.

Next time I want to learn about orcas.

"It can be a blessing or a curse, because the quality of our life is brought about by the quality of our thinking."

Good belief in principle, but pretty meaningless when coming from someone who probably has had a pretty easy life. It is all well and good to say everything is how you look at it, happiness is in freeing your mind, etc. But unless you have been in shit, have experienced real pain and a lot of it you can't say your world can be altered and happy by your thinking.

I am not saying I have had a horrible life and that a positive outlook can't over come it. My biggest struggle was probably paying for college myself. Having a good outlook and thinking positively has helped me, but I don't kid myself that if I ever had to experience or face something really horrible that thinking happy thoughts would make it better.

I believe the Biblical view that mankind to be flawed and imperfect, therefore we could never have a perfect world. However, if mankind just tried to change for the better. If every person acted out of love for others and not for themselves, I would imagine our current world would be much different.

good post for the most part. That being said I do not agree that the natural state of the mind is orderly. However the ideas presented have been around a long time.

For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies . Matthew 15:19

Deceit [is] in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace [is] joy. Proverbs 12:20

For to be carnally minded [is] death; but to be spiritually minded [is] life and peace. Romans 8:6

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. John 13:34

For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if [there be] any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love [is] the fulfilling of the law. Romans 13:9-10

Wonderful ideas and beautiful writing.

That's fine for you, Marge. But I used to rock and roll all night and
party every day. Then it was every other day. Now I'm lucky if I can
find half an hour a week in which to get funky. I've got to get out of
this rut and back into the groove!
