So here are the match ups for the Shamrock Open drawn from my Voodoo Glowskulls beanie. Posts are due by 11:59 P.M. CST, Wednesday 2/22. I will work on putting a bracket together so that we have one for the results post. Anyone with suggestions on how to make the timing work so that we finish on St. Patrick's Day please let me know.
Each match up will write from the same title and standard rules apply. Thanks and good luck to everyone who's entered.

Good, I was disapointed that you weren't able to compete, I thought that would be a close match.

exactly. It's funny because with Ubertines when I did the adjustments I don't think a single result changed and so far that holds true for this round as well. There's still time to vote but voting has slowed tremendously.

I got screwed by a drive by but it really doesn't matter that much because I am still TECHNICALLY winning. If we are still judging by the rule that if the ratings are tied then it goes to number of ratings.

Round 3 (5 writers, one is a bye to round 4 based on highest rank from round 2) - entries due 3/8, results posted 3/10
Round 4 (3 writers) - entries due 3/15, results posted 3/17 (St. Paddy's Day)
I will post results about noon tomorrow though I think most of the match ups are decided unless something drastic changes.
I've been watching the random ratings and we've had some but in most cases I don't think it would change the outcome. If I'm missing something or you feel that a drive by rating is affecting your particular match up please say so. It won't necessarily mean anything will change but I'm open to discussion and again the ones I've seen wouldn't end up affecting the outcome (as it stands now) anyway.

I would suggest that ripple change her external name to...ripple to get a little more response.

It's funny, because I totally set myself up for this.

No offense Taste, but O-man wins this round. I was just pointing out something I noticed which affects MY rating. I gave him a 1.5 instead of a 2 for it.
It was just something I noticed. I don't want him disqualified because I still have yet to face him.
So yeah, O-man you better not get knocked out for stupid stuff like that before I can get to you. Then you can get knocked out for whatever reason you want.
I don't think you should be disqualified unless you radically change the name. I didn't even notice it the first few times I read it

I have rated my opponent once, but it was to give him a 2 so I don't think it was a big deal.
I think the honor system works in this case. I haven't seen anyone abuse this to their advantage in the last few contests. If we weed out the spammy, trolling, alter ratings we can weed out these as well.

I have considered adding that as a rule but so far none of the contests I've been involved in has had someone abusing that. I generally rate my opponents only if the match is pretty well seperated/over.
