"Christina's World" painted by Andrew Wyeth in 1948.
This is by far my favorite painting. It is one of the most beautiful and mysterious paintings of this time.

This is an article regarding the original house that Wyeth painted. It is somewhat interesting, the story behind it at least. I consider it mysterious because you don't really know what is going on in the painting. Plus mysterious is a cool word.
