So I'm taking this class on making sushi. It is fun.
However, I chose to date and live with someone who does not like fish in any form, and certainly not raw. He blames cod liver oil.
I love sushi - obviously, hence the class - but the problem is that sushi grade fish is sort of aspensive, especially because you generally need to buy a bunch of it because...who makes their own sushi? So I'm good with the veggie sushi and shrimp sushi, because that isn't hard to find, but my one true sushi love is tuna, and I am not buying sushi grade tuna if I will have to throw half of it away.
To remedy this problem, I am inviting any and all takers to my hizzouse in Massachusetts for a sushi fest on April 15th. You can even drop off your tax papers on your way here (...slacker.) - you pass right by the post office. Depending on the number of people who are interested, I'll order up the necessary items from the sushi place on April 11th. You may make any requests, and I will try to find the appropriate stuff for you. If you decide to come AFTER the 11th, you are still welcome, but can't be picky about what kind of sushi you'll be getting. I am loosely planning on getting a variety pack the place I go to offers, so odds are you will like something.
Email me at josie.brown.at.gmail.com if you're interested, and I'll see you on the 15th!

Damnit Josie.
Why you datin' someone else?
I told you to move to Colorado so me and you could be makin' mad monkey lovin' all day and then eating sushi at night.
Sure, I'll puff up and have all sorts of shitty alergic reactions, but it's LOVE baby!
What?

Yeah, but ever since I discovered that living in England when I did for the amount of time I did opened the door to my having sub-radar Mad Cow Disease, I live on the edge.

do you KNOW the number of different parasites you can get from uncooked fish?
I do, we did an entire lesson once on parasites you can catch from food. I couldnt eat meat for a week.
-----
I ate McDonalds while watching the movie Super Size me.
Nothing food related really surprises me. I assume everything I eat is disgusting.

I'm in Holden, right above Worcester.
If this is popular enough, we can make it a recurring thing. I am open to that idea.

This is a maybe thing, but this interests me greatly.

I actually order from a place in San Diego - Catalina Offshore. I don't think it's Japanese though, just real fresh seafood.
I wish you could come too, kiddo!

Here in San Diego, we have a HUGE Japanese grocery store, and you can get all that stuff pretty cheap...although I don't understand how you could possibly have 'toro' go to waste - it gets eaten within seconds at my house.
