Sacril-

Kerry king is a good songwriter but his solos are terribly uncoordinated.

Hammett is talented but Mustaine deserves thousands of times more credit then Kirk.

this is gonna get to heated I CALL IT
and if it doesn't, I'll make it.

HA- Sacril- that's a first. I was throwing KK out there, really, but you're right I guess.

I hate Dave Mustaine, so I probably don't give him the credit he deserves.

Tell me one person that was doing the music Ionni was doing...when he was doing it

And sure Jack White is young and new and not in the top 5 but in relation to everyone else 'trying' to be original nowadays...he stands way out
============
I agree, badass..Jack White's probably underrated at this point. Also, Tom Morello deserves recognition.

Kerry King? Dimebag? I know it's a little old school, but still.

Hammet's the most overrated piece of shit guitarist out there. Any second-year guitar student can replicate his sound easlily. I used to play his solos when I was sucking on my mother's tit. granted that was yesterday but whatever.
=======
Seriously? Can you record me a version of you playing the solo to "Ride the Lightning" then? I'd love to hear it.

Okay, okay, I get the point - I'm unoriginal.

But, come on, some of your suggestions are ridiculous. Jack White? Tony Iommi? Kirk Hammett?

you lose including Hendrix and Vaughn in the same list...it's replicated blues scales nothing more. Stevie Ray was a better musician? What the fuck are you talking about?

what about BB King? Fucking Dimebag Darrell?

your list sucks penis.

IM SO GLAD PAGE CLAPTON AND HENDRIX MADE THIS AMAZINGLY ORIGINAL LIST, BECAUSE THEY NEVER RECEIVE CREDIT FOR BEING GOOD AT GUITAR. JEFF LOOMIS (ALONG WITH THOUSANDS OF OTHER GUITARISTS THAT DESTROY ALL THREE OF THEM WITH THEIR TALENTS COMBINED) HOG ALL THE SPOTLIGHT, GOOD THING CAPTAIN COCKSUCK OVER HERE DECIDED TO BREAK AWAY FROM THE CROWD- THIS WAS STARTING TO BECOME A PROBLEM.

Fuck John Petrucci. And fuck Yngwie. If you're into it, there's way better self indulgent, fast, neoclassical shredders. +2 for SRV, -1 for saying Jimmy Page was greatest of all time.

FUCK

I CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGOT LEO KOTTKE

---

Ok, you get a bump for this review and for this alone. Kottke is awesome. Period.

All those guys you listed, except Malmsteen can be heard at any time of day. Lots of radion play. Again, doesn't make them bad, that's not what I'm saying...

Kenny Burrell is a jazz guitarist, He did some studio work with Coltrane and a few other big names, but he has work of his own out there as well.

Yngwie learnt that scalloped fretboard trick from this girl who was playing way faster than he. she holds the record for the fastest rendition of the speed-playing stadard "Flight of the Bumblebee" at <ctrl i> NINE seconds </ctrl i> (it takes about 2 minutes to play at normal speed). Her name is Jennifer Batten, and she is a studio guitarist and was in a couple bands. She is probably best known for her work with...

Michael Jackson

OK, so her manager sucks, but she's good.

I have yet to actually hear Malmsteen.

As much as I like Hendrix, Clapton, Page and Vaughan, you forgot David Gilmour. God help your soul if you put him on anything less honorable than a "Greatest Guitarists" tribute post.

Regrettably, I can't say I've ever heard of Kenny Burrell. I have indeed heard of Robert Johnson, though.

Whatever, I didn't give this list a whole lot of deliberation, and I think I probably would have made some changes to it if I had.

...on another note, SRV, Yngwie and Led Zeppelin get top 40 play? What the hell do you listen to and where can I tune in?

Huh.

What an uninspired list this was.

How about Kenny Burrell?

How about Robert Johnson?

How about venturing into some genres that don't get top 40 play all the time? I'm not saying these guys aren't good, but damn man, open up your horizons a bit.

I've figured out the boy's punishment. First, he's grounded. No
leaving the house, not even for school. Second, no eggnog. In fact,
no nog, period. And third, absolutely no stealing for three months.
