1) George Bush lied when he stated that Saddam Hussein was behind the 9/11 attacks even though he repeatedly stated in interviews and on T.V that Saddam DID NOT orchestrate the attacks.
2) The invasion of Iraq was illegal despite the fact that Saddam violated the U.N. Gulf war cease fire agreement 17 times and failed to comply with U.N. resolution 1441 which warned of "serious consequences" if Iraq did not comply.
3) The U.N. is an effective world body despite letting Saddam thumb his nose at their agreement 17 times while some of its members even offered to lift sanctions on him after he did. They have proven themselves effective against Saddam and in Somalia and Rwanda as well.
4) Bush lied about WMDs, he brainwashed George Tenet/The CIA, Tony Blair/British intelligence, Hans Blix and retroactively programmed Bill Clinton and others http://gop.com/blog/BlogPost.aspx?BlogPostID=1390#20660 to claim Saddam had not accounted for everything. Not to mention Saddam's own generals (according to the NY Times) were reportedly stunned when in December of 2002 Saddam told them he had no WMDs. It's clear Bush lied because of.......the downing street memo. The war was a gigantic conspiracy to get oil.
5) The U.S. was wrong for doing business with Saddam in the 1980s and providing him weapons (along with several other countries) while at the same time the U.S. was also wrong for supporting sanctions on Saddam in the 1990s. The U.S. was also wrong for removing Saddam. And the U.N. resistance to the war (and enforcement of its own cease fire agreement) had nothing to do with the fact that 56 of its nations were looting the oil for food program.
6) Ousting Saddam was wrong because it cost civilian casualties. Neocons will try to claim (again in their propaganda) that Saddam killed more Iraqis/Arabs than anyone in recent memory. And that a continued rule of Saddam (or his sons who would've taken over after his death) would've killed far more people in the long run. The death toll from the Iran/Iraq war alone (which he instigated) was over one million. That doesn't even count the damage he did in Kuwait or the decades of oppression of his own people. 500,000 children reportedly died because he wasn't sharing the money from the oil for food program.
7) Saddam could've easily been killed without an invasion even though he reportedly had one of the best security apparatuses in the world to protect him (often sleeping underground and in several palaces over several nights) and it took the coalition nine months to find him even with a full army in the country. If we had just killed Saddam and his sons the rest of his regime would've just given up and gone home.
8) U.S. troops are no better than suicide bombers when it comes to civilian casualties. The neocon propaganda is that the U.S. (despite superior firepower) tries to avoid civilian casualties even at the expense of its own soldier's lives. But that's all false because it's the suicide bombers (the opposition in this war) that really cares about civilian casualties who they intentionally target every chance they get even in mosques.
9) We have provoked the insurgents into defending their country with their suicide bombs by ousting one of the biggest Arab mass murderers in Iraqi history and putting him on trial. We have completely decimated their country with bombing (in only 3 1/2 weeks and the skirmishes that followed) and brought the country into the stone age when Saddam had spent so much time and money building it up to it's pre-war 2003 glory. The insurgents are angry about the destruction of their country and failure to rebuild it which is why they sabotage oil pipelines all the time in order to keep Iraq from selling oil which will help pay for it's reconstruction (they do that because the U.S. is going to steal all the oil of course.) It's the country the insurgents care about, not provoking a civil war within the country.
10) The reason there are suicide bombers has nothing to do with Muslim extremism but American imperialism. Extremist Muslims need to be thoroughly provoked before they are brought to violence as we saw during 9/11, the riots in France and the Danish cartoon incident. Extremist Muslim suicide violence has nothing to do with infidels or 73 virgins. It is we who have provoked them with our removal of Saddam, freely elected government and ratified constitution. The U.S. should try to make piece with extremists by converting to Islam.
11) Muslim extremism exists because the Middle East was provoked by the U.S. not for the following reason....
Islamic terrorism is run by Islamic extremists who believe that those who do not practice their religion are infidels. They want to spread extremist Islam throughout the Middle East. What counters that however is western influence. Their women are starting to question their second class rolls in society as they become knowledgeable as to how women live in the west and elsewhere (which is a direct conflict with extremist Islam.) Western music, DVDs and books although banned in places like Iran are being circulated in secret among the nation's youth despite the police actively looking to stop it (20/20 did a story on this) and just regular everyday Muslims are questioning their faith just as Christians have in the West this past century and adopting more moderate views. All of these things are a threat to extremist Muslims. They're scared because they know unless they have a Taliban like theocracy to enforce their religious fanaticism, not many people on their own would adopt it willingly. And since in their extreme beliefs they think that their way is the ONLY way, they are willing to kill the influences that threaten it (the west, particularly the U.S.) in order to be seen as martyrs by Allah in the afterlife.
12) The Iraqi police and security forces who are dying for a better country and future for their people are completely misguided and it is in fact the Iraqi insurgents with their suicide bombs who care about the people and the future of the country (hence their goal to provoke a civil war.) If these insurgents were given a chance to govern Iraq they would create a government where freedom of speech, the press, women's rights and religious tolerance were embraced.
13) The Iraqi people are not interested in democracy despite the fact that there was huge voter turnout in a few elections despite death threats by insurgents.

if you're serious about this, and this was an actual attempt at something good, i'm sorry for being harsh. the problem is that you're new here, so i have nothing to back up your sense of humor or sarcasm, so when i click on a post i take it at face value. sarcasm is a lot tougher to pull of in writing because a lot of sarcasm has to do with one's presentation of the statement, and that's very difficult in writing.
basically, if it seems like we're being harsh, we are. you're new here, and when you join it's pretty much guaranteed your first post is going to get bombed with -2's and insults. it's our way of welcoming you and getting you ready for the harsh criticism that is bound to come your way when you write something shitty. i got it when i came here, bubba got it, it's just the way it works around here. you can get pissed and bitch that everyone's retarded, or you can adapt and try next time to take into consideration what people didn't like about your post and get better. it's up to you, but uber is a tight place if you can shake off the haters and make something people actually enjoy every now and again.
it's not easy, either. it took me probably two years before anyone actually read anything of mine and liked it. but then again i'm a fucking retard with a penguin for a dick, so your assimilation should be much smoother, if you want it to be.
a few things to keep in mind:
1) only post once a day. when you post more than once it pushes things off the front page, including the post that you made earlier in the day. it upsets people because they want to keep their post on the front page as long as possible. it doesn't bother me because i suck ass and the sooner my shit is off the front page the less chance someone is going to read it and decide today's the day they try to kill me.
2) when someone -2's your post, or just doesn't like it in general, take it for what it is and respond on your post. going to their post and dishing out -2's is juvenile and makes you look like a douche. ets does it, and you can probably see from recent posts that he's pretty much gone off the deep end.
3) don't be gay. we hate homos here.
4) don't expect people to like your political posts, no matter which way they lean. the people here hate government.
5) they also hate god, so don't post anything about religion.
6) include pictures in everything you post. most users are easily distracted by color and flashing things. it won't matter how shitty your shit is if your shit has a picture.
7) always, always, always jerk off before you post. this clears your head and will give you the rational sense needed to determine if your post is actually something ubersite is going to give a shit about. i've made this mistake a lot.
8) don't post naked pictures of yourself. nobody wants to see that shit... unless you're a woman. then we all want to see it and humiliate you. so yeah, don't post your funny bits.
that is all for now. i hope this wasn't wasted on stupid alter, i've got a terrible nose for that shit, i can never tell. i hope this helps, and i hope you get better.
