The Nintendo system code named Revolution will be coming out this year. I just saw the new controller design and just based on that I can see why so many game designers are going to want to make sure they have a game on this platform. So here is my idea list of games for this new platform just going by the design of the controller:

Extreme VCR Programming - A skill everyone should know

Channel Surf King - Based on the NES hit Surf King, but without all the water and surfer lingo. Your goal is to surf as many channels as possible within a certain time limit. Race friends to see who can surf the most channels in a set amount of time.

Volume - A game about getting the volume set correctly in any situation. The game features several challenge modes to test your volume skills. These challenge modes include: Living to close to a Highway, Living to close to an Airport, Incessantly barking neighbor's dog, and the ultimate challenge Children in the house.

Pokemon The Interactive Movie - Interactive features include stopping the movie, playing the movie, pausing the movie, and fast forwarding/rewinding the movie

NBA Courtside Instant Replay - You don't control the players, your task is to rewind the cool plays and then play it back in slow motion.

RBI Baseball Instant Replay - Same as NBA one, only baseball themed.

Nascar Circuit Challenge - Similar to NBA game, but with a handy Fast Forward feature so you don't have to watch the whole race to see who won.

Remote Control - It teaches the basics of a remote control. Once you score high enough on the remote challenge you unlock hidden demos of Channel Surf King, Volume, NBA Courtside Instant Replay, and RBI Baseball Instant Replay.

In case your wondering YES the new controller is a TV remote. With the way TV, DVD, and even satellite remotes look now a days, this looks like a lack-luster universal remote with a trigger button on the bottom.

I don't even want to know what the one shot of a control stick is doing in the pictures. It just doesn't fit the rest of the design.

Yeah the jokes weren't funny.

I wonder why Mofo is so grumpy today? International misery day was yesterday.

The controller is actually like a motion sensor / infra red light gun type system that you can swing around in front of your tv like a sword or aim like a gun. Pretty good idea to include it as a std controller rather than buying extra light guns etc.

I get the concept. As I said in my Post I am just going by the look of the controller.

+1 for effort. Anyway, I don't think you entirely understand the concept. It looks like it will turn out to have been a brilliant idea to have remote controllers for the new system.

Not that I really care. I don't really play video games anymore.

See these? American donuts. Glazed, powdered, and raspberry-filled.
Now, how's that for freedom of choice.
