A linkwhore comes across the sky. It has happened before, but there is nothing to compare it to now:

How's this for so far beyond cool that your exposed flesh freezes in just seconds when you come in contact with me? I'm on an alien spacecraft. Wrap your tiny little brain around that for a minute. An alien spacecraft. First person in the history of mankind could ever say so. And you know what I'm wondering? The fuck you do, because I ain't told you yet.
I'm wondering if horse cunt Dirtside smells anything like the dark chocolate saltwater pumpkin seed tang that's clinging to my fingertips right now.
Oh yeah, yeah, part of me is wondering how the fuck I'm supposed to go from unarmed main attraction of the xenocentaur forced mating in captivity program to saving my ship and my crew. But, let's be honest here, there's not exactly a sense of urgency behind that particular line of thought right now. Heh. No, about ninety percent of my thought cycles are taken up with the memory of the sweet catenary curve of her body stretched out before me, the shimmer of her silver-gray hair, and that sudden, convulsive gripping that caught me so off-guard and almost held me trapped inside her.
And as long as we're spilling the beans here, might as well admit that most of the rest of my consciousness is occupied trying to get the goddamn cockeyed off-key dixieland music to this ancient Bob Dylan song out of my head. I don't even fucking like Bob Dylan, but something about "Rainy Day Centaurs #12 and 35" has kept me giggling like a defective for the past half hour.
So, yeah, salvaging my mission ranks somewhere below pointless fuckwittery on my list of priorities.
Heh. There's hoofbeats outside the door again, and I can see the dapple-grey mistress-in-chief through the window, and I know what that little knowing half-smile means, in any galactic quadrant.
Don't wait up, boys, it's time to defend my title as interstellar bareback rodeo champion.

We are under full emergency alert.
The larger of the two alien craft has abandoned its defensive position up-terrain of us and has initiated closing maneuvers with alarming speed. If they do not slacken pace, they will be alongside us in less than ten minutes. McSwain is manning the gun turret on the exposed flank even though we have only enough reserve power for a single salvo. Have suspended propellant distillation for duration of crisis to free up power for the defense.
The more heavily armed craft continues to circle overhead, maintaining a range of roughly 10 km. Scan shows its artillery to be trained on our position although Cerenkov spectrometry indicates the guns remain uncharged. The rest of the crew strongly endorse the Control directive not to fire unless fired upon and I find myself bound by that rule even though I suspect it may end up costing us our lives, or at least our freedom.
The approaching vessel is broadcasting a clone of our distress signal but has not otherwise resumed transmissions. For now, we can only stay vigilant and hope Ito's translations yield dividends in some form of diplomacy. Given that FitzWilliam has been gone for over eight hours now, it would be foolish to think that he's anywhere but aboard their vessel, in which case perhaps the less they are able to understand of us, the better.
Further official record entries suspended until such time as I can responsibly delegate my responsibility as commander for long enough.

Not as good as the other parts. +1 worthy.

I'm inclined to agree, try to get back on track.

Frequency of reviews means nothing when it comes to this series.
Don't stop a-rocking.

Felt more like setup than story line. Perhaps as an intermission it would have been ok - but there was no counter point.

Circe-- thanks, the phrase was in my head and I hope I didn't steal it from somewhere.
Filthy-- glad to see you've been reading!
redskies-- fair enough-- any specific shortcomings you had in mind? I was hesitant to post this because I wasn't drunk at all when I wrote it, which is a first for this series.
3 reviews in 3 hours? Shit, I'm glad I didn't stretch this longer.

"the sweet catenary curve of her body"
That's an exquisite little snapshot image.
This series had better finish soon - I'm jonesing for the next one already.
