Prefaces come before the actual story. The two sentences you typed are in the wrong order.
Everyone with credit who dies without completely taking care of their credit affairs or having someone do it for them will get one of these letters. Boring subject matter.
It might have been just a little entertaining had the letter been for a credit approval despite the approvee being listed as deceased. But it wasn't, so it wasn't.

A friend of mine's dad just turned 50 and he got a letter from a local cemetary saying that they were having a special "pre-need sale." Nice of them to think of him in his advancing age.
