I really fucking hate people who pretend to be embarrassed about something they have done, just so they can tell everyone.
That might be a little obscure, so I'll give you an example. This was an actual exchange between me and some guy I hate. I was standing at the college bus stop and he approached me.
Him: Alright mate?
Me: Alright.
*Silence*
Him: Oh mate, don't ask me about last night, mate, that was bad!
Me: Was it?
Him: Yeah mate, went out with the lads, got a bit drunk. Mate, it was bad.
Me: Great.
Him: Yeah mate, I could barely walk, I shouldn't go out with them lads, they're all mad!
I think I should mention that the 'mad lads' he is talking about are from his fencing club. Possibly the least mad people I have ever met. The last few pictures I saw of them, they were dressed as characters from Harry Potter. I know, it sounds like I'm joking, I'm not.
I have to wonder what kind of people feel the need to spill their boring shitty nights out onto someone who clearly could not give less of a crap.
It's the same people who come up with 'amusing' nicknames for all their friends that in no way reflect their personalities, such as Fishfingers, Brains, The Spanner and Aardvark. This is so they can seem like a gang, a little like the mafia, only with more wizard capes.
If you enjoyed a night out with 'the lads', feel free to tell me about it. Even if I don't care, I'll listen. But, don't shroud it in fake humiliation. Either tell me about it or don't, don't act like you don't want people to know then talk to me about it.

I was once part of a fencing club, I had to stop because I was ripping my hands apart form the barbed-wire. That and my fence cutters were Rusty and no one likes to hang out with two friends named Rusty.
