This is my first post under this name or any other. I am, for all intents and purposes, a n00b here with no reputation or credibility. I don't expect to ever be on the front page, nor do I expect to make b@w. That's cool. Saying I don't expect it and that it's cool isn't going to make it happen despite that, either. That's cool too.
I found this site through Bored at Work, which interestingly (or uninterestingly) enough was just a random url I typed into my browser while I was actually bored at work sometime last year. Funny how serendipity will steer us to.... nothing. I expect this whole experience to be a massive waste of time, which is why I've decided to go forth and do it.
Some quick, superficial info about me:
Name: Adam
Age: I'm 24 until July. (Not like I'm excited. All the fun birthdays have been over for a little while now.)
Sexual Orientation: South by south-east, depending on weather conditions. Or straight.
Interests/Hobbies: I play lots of guitar. I've been playing for roughly... 12 years now. I also play in a band, where I write and arrange the music and play lead. That's about all I'm going to say about the band. No one here knows me yet and has no reason to care, so I'll save you from having to read my SPAM. I may post about it later though, as it does take up a big part of my life.
Job: For the moment, I am a technical writer for a large global company. That's about all I'll say about that for now. I don't know who might be reading this! Anyway, the work is usually easy (or nonexistant) and it pays me very well. I'm basically still a stupid kid who somehow makes grown-up money (despite my very acute and pronounced laziness). It affords me lots of toys - nice guitars and amps, a nice computer, entertainment media, a nice big apartment, and a decent car. I keep expecting everyone at my work to eventually catch on that I'm just a bullshit artist and can me, but I've been doing this for about three years now and I keep getting raises and new projects, so I guess they're not going to.
I have no real religeous or political affiliations, though at times I will form strong opinions on both topics. Who doesn't?
Anyway that's about all I feel like saying about myself right now. Allow me to close with a list of made-up deathmetal band names:

this is so fuckin larp.
your bandnames suck. theyre too obvious, why not think of something a little obscure and not-quite-yet-still-sorta-kinda offensive. a friend of mine had a band called 'popehole'.

My band is called "Iron Ra". I didn't make that up, I heard it somewhere and thought it sounded cool. Google search didn't return much, except for some IronRa usernames. I wonder where I heard it.
