Ok, so after reading http://www.ubersite.com/m/87442 I get to thinking how much Christian religious zealots irritate me with their mind numbing jargon and tireless belief in an absolutely insane system of beliefs.

And I have realized something. When I meet a person that is born again, or super Christian, I immediately assume that they are not very bright. I mean, to subject ones self to such absurd notions such as a "loving" God that will smite your ass with a motherfucking lightning bolt if you do not attend his church, is merely one of many blatant moronic concepts withheld by these fanatics. Would you not be borderline retarded to believe this?

And it is mostly Christians that illicit this feeling from me. I may not subscribe to any other belief, but at least the others have some sort of credibility. Shit, even if they lack credibility at least there gods aren't tossing lightning bolts at me for questioning them.

"I get to thinking how much Christian religious zealots irritate me with their mind numbing jargon and tireless belief in an absolutely insane system of beliefs."

Excellent. You are entitled to your own opinion, sadly. If I believe in Jesus, and that I'd be on the good-list with the Big Guy upstairs if I tried to live my life good, help out others, and turn the other cheek whenever possible, I would be exemplifying to you, an inane system of beliefs?

Those who take the Bible in the literaly sense of the word are missing the point. The lightening bolts are really not meant to be electrical manifestations of wrath, but a stern warning to live life for the betterment of others.

Hey, if I'm a fool for not runing into your house with a kilogram of C4 stuck in my ass and detonate your house, then I guess I'm a fool.

+2 For my good deed of the day.

Do you believe everything TV tells you?

If you're going to blast something, try to at least have some sort of legitimate argument against it. "It's stupid" being the sole foundation of your criticism really doesn't say much about you.

Do you know what "withheld" means?

Other than that - relative.

Yeah those hardcore muslims that believe in blowing themselves up or supporting those that do are much more reasonable.

how is one belief system more credible than another? belief is something completely subjective. you can choose to or choose not to believe that something is or isn't whether or not it's fact. how in the world can one religion be more believable than the next? especially when the top three are based off the same god and the next runner up has four-armed elephants and cows as deities. broaden your experiences in that area. i'm doubting you've ever talked to a rabbi about his beliefs, or an imam or monk. christians and muslims have a tendency to be nuts, but faith is faith no matter what it's in. none of them are really more or less stupid than the others in the end.
