Wasn't sure if this was good enough to post or not. You'll let me know. There is more if it is and maybe even if it isn't.
------------------

I'll make them fucking pay. There is no way in the world that they are fucking going to get away with sacking me and not getting what is coming to them. Fucking US government, fucking CIA, they think they can play with peoples lives, I'll show them what playing with lives is all about.

I'd been watching her for a week now, I'd seen her fairly regularly when I was an employee, Shirley or Shareen or Stacey, some stupid arse middle of the road name that begins with S. She was lovely, always smiling and always chatting with people. One of those people you meet in your life that deep down you really want to be like.

She did nothing unusual, she came and went at the same time each day or at least within five minutes of the same time. She took the same route and never seemed to stop on the way to or from work to pick up groceries. It was certainly going to make my life a whole lot easier.

Tom looked across at Stacey as she stirred in their king sized bed. Even first thing in the morning she was beautiful, even after two children she was sexy. Her size and shape was naturally suited to having children, within months of giving birth she was back to her original dimensions. It made a lot of her friends awfully jealous. It just made Tom love her all the more.

Make up was not a requirement with Stacey either, she epitomised natural beauty, make up when used, was used sparingly and delicately. But her real talent was with her children.

They loved her and she loved them, of course. But they had fun together, they discussed issues, they played music, they walked at the weekends, there was nothing she didn't share with her kids and her husband. She had the sort of relationship with her children that you'd expect someone to have with two adults.

Thursday was no different to the first three days of this particular week, or for that matter for the last 4 weeks. She left the house at eight am and took the short drive to the CIA building three quarters of a mile away. It took her no more than five minutes and I fired off around a dozen shots of digital on route.

I wasn't entirely sure why I took the photo's, I knew what she looked like and I knew who she was, I wasn't going to blackmail the family or the CIA I was merely going to kill her. Taking the photos just felt like the right thing to do.

They'd find out later why I did it, but it wasn't about her, she could have been one of hundreds. But I took then anyway filling away the memory card from the camera later when I got home in the portfolio labelled Vic1.

Stacey laughed as the garden hose sprayed her with rainbow coloured water after the younger of her two children had turned it on her. The promise that she was only going to use it to fill the paddling pool was forgotten already. Stacey knew that she was fibbing so that she could get her hands on the hose. It was a routine that was regular in the household and created a great deal of harmless fun.

"Mummy...Mummy, come closer and see how full the pool is"
"You won't spray me again Lilly?"
"Of course not Mummy, I need to know if the pool if full"

And of course, Lilly would spray Stacey again and the whole family would laugh off the chill that late spring evenings brought when you were wet through.

As Tom and Stacey shared a break in the children's demands it was a chance to catch up on their respective days Tom asked his wife how her day was.

"Oh sweetheart, I love my new job, I love my family and I love you. I am so happy right now it is almost unbelievable, work is just perfect"

Tom nodded to himself, he was so proud of Stacey's achievements in a predominately male dominated business, he would never let on quite how proud but he thought she had a pretty fair idea.

I could see the couple sitting on the decking at the rear of their house, the children were splashing around in a giant paddling pool come swimming pool. I felt nothing for them and nothing for the children.

No prisoners.

I had a point to make and if you pussy footed about worrying that some people were not worthy to die, well...then you'd never kill anyone.

Stacey woke as normal on Friday morning and went through her routine for getting herself ready. Lots of chat with Tom and lots of interaction with the children while they themselves readied for school. Stacey was proud of the amount of time she could dedicate to the children while still maintaining her schedule.

They had plans for the weekend and the children excitedly made Stacey and Tom go over the itinerary one more time. There would be a picnic and soccer in the woods on the edge of town starting early Saturday morning followed by the wildlife park in the afternoon. Saturday was always family day, always time made for the children.

I sat outside her house this morning and watched her get ready for work. I'd spent the previous evening cleaning and oiling my gun, I'd test fired it at dusk behind the trailer and she shot like the beauty she was.

Stacey kissed the children and Tom then promised them all she would see them later when she returned from work. She always had to tell little David just how many hours that would be and show him what his watch would look like the next time he'd see Mummy, in fact somewhere in his satchel he had a picture that Stacey had drawn with the clock face representing five pm.

It was a kind of fun game and Stacey always looked at her watch in the way she knew David would look at his, through his young innocent eyes.

As she pulled out of the driveway she blew a kiss to the family as they stood on the lawn waving her goodbye.

She pulled out of her drive and turned right, as expected. I stood slightly on the pedal and eased in behind her, there was no need for stealth and I really needed to be the following car if my plan was to work.

We cruised through the streets taking lefts and rights and I could see Stacey making final adjustments to her hair in her rear view mirror.

Very shortly we reached the section where I'd act. She took a short cut at this point and missed the main road that also ran past the CIA complex. She would travel down a couple of side streets and enter through a side gate.

As she turned into the side road I gunned the engine and bumped the back of her car. I saw her head thrown forward quickly and then return to an upright position. She stared into the mirror as I exited my car.

Stacey spent the journey into work going over the picnic requirements for Saturday. She purchased most of the groceries already but wanted a few extra treats for the children and a bottle of Chablis for her and Tom to share.

It was a beautiful day and though it was only just starting she was determined that she was going to enjoy it.

Until the idiot in the car behind bumped her rear.

Mind you, he looked like a nice enough chap when she glanced in the mirror. Little damage could have been done at this speed and he already was mouthing 'sorry' as he got out of his car.

Perhaps today was still going to be OK.

She stayed seated, which is what I wanted. I'd planned to get out of my car as quickly as I could after I'd hit her car and hope that she'd feel slightly safer staying in her vehicle. Sure enough she did.

I strolled up to the driver side door and as she was rolling down her window to speak to me I lifted the weight of the gun out of the back of my jeans and fired two shots into her face.

She never flinched, she never saw it coming. The back of her skull dispersed all around the front of her vehicle and then I threw my card I'd printed into the interior of the car.

'You'll Be Sorry' was all it said.

If you're going to write using American characters, you need to make them speak American English. Also, CIA Headquarters is kinda isolated, for obvious reasons - it's not just off the high street.
You'd have been better off using MI6, instead.

Good stuff.

One thing, though, and I may just be nitpicking: If she was bumped in her car from behind, her head would've been thrown backward, not forward.
Not that it detracts from the story in the least. I'd like to know more about the trigger-man, though.

Homer: Well, the evening began at the Gentleman's Club, where we were
discussing Wittgenstein over a game of backgammon.

Scully: Mr. Simpson, it's a felony to lie to the FBI.

Homer: We were sitting in Barney's car eating packets of mustard. Ya
happy?
