A lot of times, we forget that life is short, and every moment within it, fleeting. Many times, we take our lives for granted, not realizing that just by waking up and getting out of bed, we've won another victory. This writer has neglected much in his life. He has said, done, and thought things which are wasteful, hurtful, unwarranted. He has woken up many mornings with the desire to do nothing with his sad, pathetic little life besides eat, shit, or watch television. He has allowed the infinite possibility of life to dwindle into the horizon while he shuffles around in the same patch of dirt, looking down at the same weeds, and muttering the same complaints about going nowhere.
But things shall henceforth be different.
I have had much time to think about things in my life, including choices I have made, and tomorrow is going to be a new day. It already is since it is now just after one in the morning. Of course, don't get me wrong, this isn't a self-pity post, or even a pity-others post. This is what you make of it, just the same as life. Go ahead and rate this post as you will, because your rating represents your own life, negative or positive. This message will affect you only as far as life has. This alter can now rest, because it has no more purpose in my life. Thanks for reading, and I hope you get something out of this.
