<cue applause>

Thank you ladies and gentleman and welcome to another exciting edition of New Music Mondays. This week we are featuring part two of our four part series. You may remember that swinging little ditty from last week, aptly titled "Don't Want To". If you have a poor memory you can log on to our website at http://www.ubersite.com/m/86444. While you're there be sure to enter to win a date with resident ladies man Schlongy. Enjoy and good luck.

Anyways, enough of that. As you may have gathered this is part two of a shitty little 4 part EP that I threw together over a weekend. It's a bit of a departure artistically for me and so it is a little experimental and rough around the edges. Bear with me here folks.

I played all the instruments, including but not limited to a an old set of bongo drums I borrowed from a hippie friend, a cheesy old synth I got at the local pawn shop, and a 6 channel drum machine. The sampled vocals come from an old recording I had of a co-worker that I made while putting together an auto attendant system for a call center. All the editing, compiling, arranging and sampling was done by me through an ancient copy of CoolEdit2000.

Let me know what you think. Good, bad or just meh; be honest. That's all for now.

Stay tuned for the exciting third chapter entitled "Pressure" coming soon to an internet near you.

Prefere this to Pressure.

Didn't need the vocal sampling. Started out rather irritating, like cheesy poolside music or elevator music, but when the heavier beat kicked in it got better. I liked the piano during the second half. End of it sounds kinda like you were experimenting with your drum machine.

Still a +2 for putting it up here, but would've rated it an 0 or something if I was just purely rating the song.

+2 for having the balls to stick a recording up here for scrutiny. I'm downloading it now, and I'll give it a listen later and let you know what I think.

Personally, I would have enjoyed the track much more without the vocal samples in the mix. It's got a nice groove. Kind of like elevator music on crack.

========================================================================================

I agree the vocals are forced; i really had nothing laying around other than some old work recordings. Part of the experiment was using the vocal sampling, thus i compromised on that end.

As to the elevaor music, i just wanted to go with a really lazy feel. It's not as evident on the first track or two, but the ep was designed with a rough continuity to it; sortof a story album, if you will.

I'll post the rest when I get some time...

Probably more of a +1 for this song, but +2 on effort, which I'm sure there was plenty of in this project. Post some more of your EP material, man.
