-- CNN/SI learns San Francisco Giants general manager Brian Sabean and New York Yankees GM Brian Cashman confirm blockbuster trade sending Yankees SP Chien-Ming Wang, 2B Robinson Cano and OF Melky Cabrera to San Francisco for Giants slugger Barry Bonds. In a written statement released to the press, Bonds states "If I am going to break The Babe's home run record, there's no better way to do it than in the house that Ruth built wearing the uniform that Ruth wore." A press conference is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. tomorrow at the ESPN Center in Times Square followed by a parade to Yankee Stadium, where Bonds should be in the starting lineup against the visitng Texas Rangers.
