Well, here's a first - my Word is being a whore, so I'm composing a post in the submit box, and I don't much care for it; it's cold and scary in here. Apologies for the delay in putting this up, blah blah blah.
Round 3 seemed like everyone had already used their A material just to get this far, and I'm willing to take the blame for the deadline being the major cause in people rushing entries and not submitting their best stuff. In the interest of getting some better quality stuff this time out, I'm going to make the timeframe longer - it is the final, after all.

Gank's powers of pure instinct and lightning-fast writing finally met their match in Mr Jack McCallum, who brought the hot streak of Gank's comp run to an end. Jack marches on.

I think either they'll slip down to around 5th or 6th position or they'll be Cs strongest challengers. Mind you now that I think about it Man U are looking like they'll be even stronger next season.
Who knows...it'll either be a battle of C and ManU or Liverpool'll steal it.
I can't see Arsenal doing much, they've been running on fumes and one man since Paddy left, and I recon Henrys gonna go as well.
Mind you if they win the final as they may well, then Henry could well stick around...buy in some good people, Soloman gets himself and the rest of the back in order, it could just be that magic season all over again.
Im not very good at predictions. Any of the Big 4 could win I suppose.
Or Reading even, look at what we did to the championship, I know that you probably consider the C to be under the P, but as I supporty reading and Leicester I say its more, kind above it.

You think Liverpool will win the league? On the strength of two central midfielders and their defence? Chelsea are looking tougher and tougher I'd say. And if they add a pair of quality strikers (and by quality I mean world class - not that shower Sissy that Liverpool have)
Tottenham are ok - but compare Defoe and Keane to say Dirk Kuyt and Owen.
Compare Parker and Emre to Carrick and Jenas (i'm more open to debate there)
We have a quality right winger who scores goals and frequently puts in assists.

Our defence is a bit more troublesome - but I'd take Given over Robbo.

Plenty of pace in the midfield, a lethal strike force, and a growing maturity at the back.
Mind you - I dunno what Roeder's scouting is like - he may go out and surprise me. I do hope so.

I still stubbornly say that the best team in Europe - for sheer power and determination is Chelsea. I thought they were unlucky to go out to Barca.
Next season they look like they're signing Shevchenko and Tevez and probably a new centre half and left back. They've already got Ballack and look to be having a go for 4-2-2-2
i.e.
New Left Back Terry New Centre Half Ferreira
Makalele Essien
Lampard Ballack
Tevez Shevchenko
With the option to bring on wingers as and when they want to to add width.
That's a pacy team, with huge power in the centre of the park - indeed perhaps the strongest I've ever seen.
Gerrard and Alonso come close to Makalele and Essien in terms of power and grit, but even then.
I'm tipping Newcastle to finish 5th next season - and be unlucky to finish behind Arsenal in 4th.

Barca honestly don't have a great defence. It is only because they retain possession so well and attack so fluently that no one really examines that defence -which could play into Arsenal's hands. Crosses should be dealt with fairly well by Arsenal, and as long as goofy and eto'oo'oo'oo'oo are watched carefully, I think they have a good chance.
