I'm curious to know who the genius behind Coke's new ad campaign is. Does Coke not realize that there new slogan should have M.A.D.D., R.A.D.D., S.A.D.D., and various other organizations against them?
For over 20 years now M.A.D.D., R.A.D.D., and S.A.D.D. have had commercials on the airwaves about not drinking and driving. They have tried to show us, in 30-second spots, that getting overly drunk is a bad thing because it impairs your judgment, and may lead to a traffic fatality. As a kid I got these messages hard wired into my brain time and time again. This led me to never drive when drinking.
So my children are now going to get the message "Thank you for drinking" in their minds. They could have at least included the word Coke at the end of that statement. Some commercials show the word coke after showing the slogan, but keep in mind that Coke is not part of the slogan itself. So it looks like an ad that says "Thank You for Drinking" sponsored by Coke.
Of course these where just the Coke ads I saw last night on fox, and I don't know if that's going to be their official global slogan.

If someone is so easily swayed by advertising as to drink and drive because they got confused by a Coke ad, then hopefully they will do so and die before they have the chance to breed.

I second that but I will go a step further and say if anyone is swayed by any advertisement at all (besides food) to do anything they should die before they have the chance to breed.
Also, I don't drink and drive because of Coke commercials; I drink and drive because its fun.
