enjoy roses because my mother hated them. Her favorite color is purple, her most hated color is yellow.
My favorite flower - of course it's the yellow rose.
If you are into symbolism or other touchy-feely Hallmark wants to make money by giving everything significance kind of things, you'll know that roses have meanings associated with their colors.
I stole this from one of many websites about the significance of rose colors:
*Red* roses proclaim "I love you." They are the ultimate symbol of romantic love and enduring passion. Florists can't keep up with Valentines Day demand for red roses, which makes them especially expensive in February.
*Pale pink* roses connote grace, gentleness, and gratitude.
A joy to behold, *light pink* roses express fun and happiness.
*Deep pink* roses say "Thank you."
*Lilac roses* indicate the sender has fallen in love at first sight with the recipient and is enchanted.
*Pure white* roses symbolize truth and innocence. They also send other messages: "I miss you" and "You're heavenly."
*Coral* roses express one thing with their passionate color: Desire.
*Peach* roses speak of appreciation, gratitude, and also sympathy.
*Orange* roses communicate enthusiasm and desire on the part of the sender.
*Yellow* roses indicate friendship and freedom -- so don't send them if your intentions are romantic and long-lasting. Yellow roses are also appropriate for sending congratulations to newlyweds, graduates, Texans, and new mothers.
(I didn't even add the bit about the Texans here...)
*Dead* Roses -Regardless of the original color, dead roses say "It's over" loud and clear.
COMBINED ROSES
Put two or more colors of roses together, and a new rose meaning arises:
White Roses + Yellow Roses
A symbol of harmony.
Red Roses + Yellow Roses
A message of happiness and celebration.
Red Roses + White Roses
An indication of bonding and harmony.
So now you now more about rose colors than you wanted to.

I don't understand.
How the hell are you supposed to tell the difference between pale pink and light pink?
Also, coral, peach and orange ALL = orange . . . right?

Peace roses are some of the prettiest.
I wish I could find another bush of the variety called Love. Love roses are snow white on the inside with bright crimson edges. Also the edges curl in so instead of rounded petals, they form points.
Now those were beautiful. I haven't been able to find another Love rose bush though.

Team,
In an effort to maintain our department and keep it free from unnecessary paper and clutter, if you recently moved to a new office and left paper, notebooks etc. behind, please clean or file or throw away items in your previous space.
Other team members, if you have items in your present area, that are not needed - file or throw those items away. This will alleviate the excessive amount of paper, other documents and notebooks left in cubes or offices that no one is accountable for removing.
It is understandable that you sometimes get extremely busy and cannot attend to the minor details, but cleanliness and safety is an issue in this department. There are an enormous amount of boxes stacked that need to be either sent to storage or located in (1 or 2) locations.
Moving Boxes, please place them in a neat stack in front of the mailroom and I will contact facilities for pickup.
Other Boxes, please place on the adjacent wall near the small conference room and I will label as trash for the cleaning people to remove at the end of the day.
This is a team effort.
