I thought I would take today to answer a letter I received from Jason, a 12 year old from Topeka.
Jason writes:
Dear Barometer,
My teacher and parents say that violence doesn't solve anything. Are they right?
Well, Jason, they are right - if they are lousy pinko-commie hippies! Violence solves EVERYTHING! If some bully is giving you shit, break his nose. 10 to 1 says he doesn't give you shit again, or he'll get his friends and kick your ass. This will solve his problem. If violence didn't work, there would be no war.
Don't fall prey to the whole violent video games, television, and movies make you violent, however. Violence existed LONG before those things.
In closing, violence works. Ask all those that have used it to their advantage. Good luck and learn karate.
