As many of you know, the Bonnaroo music fest ended on Monday, which explains why I am late getting around to everything. I was in attendance with the 79,999 other dirty hippies.

Thursday at about noon I left my house to swing by Purdue to pick up my friend Josh and some other dude I'd never met who was coming with us. I grabbed my shitty old tent instead of my nice new one because if it got lost or stolen or ruined, I could give a balls.

I arrived at Purdue's campus at about 3 and met Josh's friend Scott. He seemed like a nice enough dude, but he was a little beard-centric. He had a beard, was proud of it, and even complimented my douchey little chin goatee thing which I rock.

It was 7 hours to Manchester Tennesee, and it was 7 and a half hours before I opened the tent bag and discovered it was without tent poles.

I'm an Eagle Scout. Josh is an Eagle Scout. I think Scott once ate a browine. (I know that joke's old enough to vote, but pretend it's an analingus joke and let's move on.)

I looked around at all the people. 4 clueless chicklets from Texas who looked about as vapid as Vanna White had their tent erected. 4 unwashed hippies smelling like patchouli and baby shit had two tents and a screened canopy they could play cards under (and listen to Phil Lesh B-sides while they talked about how "Like, Bush, like, sucks, meeeaannn")

So there an Eagle scout sat, stupefied that he was less prepared than a bunch of hippies.

It was a great night to sleep out under the stars. At first it was out of necessity, but it was warm, there were no bugs, and we could hear music in the distance, and people laughing. Coming back home to my impending tuition bill, lack of a job, bitchy parents and lack of a social life was going to suck, but for the next 5 days I could ignore it. I woke up with the sun feeling like it was going to be the best day of my life.

It was.

So, you forgot to buy tickets, too?

I second her approval of ghola's message. This is weak.

Auto Spartan +2.

I saw weird stuff in that place last night. Weird, strange, sick,
twisted, eerie, godless, evil stuff. And I want in.
