perk man, good for your brother, that's awesome to hear. tell him to work his ass off and shoot for orthopaedics. in my opinion that's the best specialty. if he ever needs any advice on what books to study for any particular class/exam, he's more than welcome to email me. my biggest problem my first 2 years was knowing which books to study because there's such a huge variety to choose from and the professors don't usually do a good job of recommending decent ones because they went to med school so long ago.
and yeah, i don't know if you're new here but guys like schlong sucker are a dime a dozen. all talk with nothing to back it up. just a few crappy posts. he's probably one of those fags that brings up overall ratings when he talks shit. what a fucking douche.

You did get really lucky! My late boyfriend was an M.D. (late start-was a PharmD first). He didn't have a whole lot of student debt (working as a Pharm helped).
One time he sat down and figured what he earned per hour. It was something like $9.75 per hour.
And I earn lab tech wages and am going to grad school for Psychology.
Many times he and I picked change off the sidewalk, out from between cushions, and pillaged our pockets just to go get Chinese.
It's really sad what happens to doctors nowadays. The shit they have to go through and for what?! Barely enough to survive on.

fortunately i don't have any student loans. my parents were able to pay for the tuition outright. but please don't think that i don't appreciate it...many of my friends have accumulated over $200k in debt from med school alone, not counting undergraduate debt. i got really lucky.
