England loses to Portugal!
I can't believe it went to penalty kicks!
Too bad Beckham's superior abilities weren't enough to catapult the deserved England team to a semifinal berth.
Rooney, he's amazing, that Red card was needed, the game was getting boring.
For those of us watching over here in the States, I finally found something actually worse than the USA team! The fucking announcers. Horrible horrible. I don't know if anyone remembers Maniche diving around the 55th minute. England's player rested his arm on Maniche's shoulder and he tumbled to the ground grabbing his face, and the stupid announcer Marcelo Balboa said it was a great play by Maniche, and that diving is the "Art of Soccer."
Anyway, Portugal's going to have a hard time finding a way around Brazil, because they're winning today.
Ricardo is an amazing penalty kick stopper.

You know there was this one time over here on a televised telephone appeal for some charity a guy rang up and pledged like 2000 bucks or something if the french would go on tv and cheat at everything inside like 20 minutes or something. So anyway the french went on tv and cheated at everything except war (the french have never really got their heads around war), and the guys said fuck you I'm not paying because you didn't cheat at war and the french said well not cheating is cheating like it's all part of the deal and the guy said oh yeah i get it and paid up.
The french are cheating right now against Brazil.

Dont underestimate the dirty french.
I fucking hate the diving, it complete ruins the game for me, it is why I stopped playing.
You dont see fucking rugby players taking a dive, unless they are french, I wouldnt put anything past the french.

What you DO see in rugby though are constant infringements around the ruck, slowing the ball down is the same as diving but different somehow.

The ref was right buddy. Nowhere else to put his foot? Last I checked the Brits don't have very big feet, he could have put it in a number of different spots.
And it wasn't just the stomp that got him the red. He also shoved a Portugal player after he got up, and argued with the ref (who did a great job overall) all before the red was shown.

The ref was awful. So fuck he shoved someone, yellow card at most. Portugal should have had yellows for their dissent. All in all an inconsistent ref, who made poor decisions and was influenced in the sending off by Ronaldo's weeping.
If you'd actually watched the replays properly you would have seen that Rooney's foot was falling where it was, nowhere else to go.
