I haven't posted lately because I've been at uni, and now that I'm on holidays I've realised all my ideas were shit.
I have noticed myself recently making witty offhand comments out loud even when I'm alone, and I think it's because subconsciously I'm worried I could be on something like The Truman Show. The other day I was at work when a lady asked if we had 60th birthday cards. I said sorry we're out of them at the moment, and she left. A good twenty seconds after she'd left I said "You could get two 21sts and an 18th". Halfway through the sentence I realised I was being a tool and talking to myself. I kind of faltered at the word "twenty-firsts". Then I realised I couldn't stop there, in case I really was on the Truman Show and they saw me stop halfway through and thought I was an idiot. So I finished it kind of weak and apologetically.
I think FilthyAssistant and ETS are a perfect match because Filthy is the most sarcastic person in the world and ETS is the most ripe for sarcasm.
While studying for an economics subject this semester I was really focused on analysing every aspect of people's actions. So much so that when I was walking to the test, in the middle of the rain, my thought processes were going crazy. The path I was on led directly towards the building, but offered no cover from the rain. Ahead and off to the left of the path was a tree though, which from the distance I was at seemed to have water drizzling from it as well. It had been raining for a while, and obviously the tree's leaves only held a certain capacity of water before any more rain would mean the area under the tree would be getting just as much water as the path. If I was to veer off and pass under the tree while walking to the exam, I was in effect betting the extra energy and time it would take me to walk the slight diagonal route against the possibility that the tree had already reached full water retention capacity. While I was distracted weighing up these costs and benefits I almost fell in the fucking lake.
I read an article about the origins of people's surnames, and how if you are of English descent then the surname will often tell you something about the occupation or skills of your ancestors. I looked it up and Thorpe actually means "a small village", which either means my great great great grandfather was a town planner or my great great great grandmother was a slut.

Don't be silly, Thorpy-Box, you're not on "The Thorpe Show!"
And now I'd just like to talk about all the wonderful products Sears is offering this week...

THORPE.
Hook me up with English muffins. I will be your friend. And crumpets. No, I will not be your crumpet, I want crumpets. I can't get them in Sweden. I'll send you vodka and blond girls, on arrival of muffins and crumpets. And pfff, don't tell me england is closer, for some reason I've never been able to find the proper English muffins and crumpets in England.

I've been talking to myself of late too. I find myself watching the World Cup and saying 'oh fuck off' a lot, and then I just blink for a bit and wonder if I should leave the room. I turn to go and then I shout "LOOK AT THE FUCKING REPLAY YOU DUMB CUNT!" so I just sit down on the couch and try to keep out of everybody's way.
It's very confusing.

Serious. Woody is not my real name, Woody would be considered a joke name round here.
Theres a villiage in Leicestershire called Littlethorpe, which I guess means little little village.

yes, college will do that to you. and by the time you're done, your brain is in high gear, and you will have trouble sleeping more than 6 hrs, under the constant impression that you will be "late" to get somewhere. I went through months of violently jerking awake after graduating, sure that because I was rested, something was very very wrong.

Show up unannounced at Saxon's and drink all his beer and then fart on his dog's head. Tell him Forensic sez hi.
He'll either laugh or kick your ass.
Not really sure which.
Worth a try.

I can see where you're coming from, but I'm the kind of chump who will pay hundreds of dollars for the privilege of feeling morally superior. We just lost the Schonell cinema and I don't want to know how much the beer is going to go up.

I'm not paying it, as soon as it was passed the student bar went from $6 to $10 a jug and they changed the contract for the cafeteria so the food was the most expensive I have seen anywhere, ever. I've never used the doctor, legal aid, child care, any of the millions of ethnic clubs, don't play sport on campus, so fuck it, it's the kind of thing that only works when compulsory, they won't get the numbers so the student unions are going to fall apart, I'm not giving them $500 over the next two years just to see if it doesn't.

I always think I'm being watched, too. And judged.
Apparently this means I'm Catholic, but I don't think it's God watching me... just some team of moralistic perverts, somewhere
