Regarding - Officials: More N. Korea launches possible

Well, if you read my post http://www.ubersite.com/m/89990 the other day you would see how bad this can be. North Korea fired seven missiles in all Wednesday, one long-range and five shorter-range missiles beginning shortly after 3:30 a.m. (2:30 p.m. Tuesday ET) and a seventh missile around 5:20 p.m. (4:20 a.m. ET) Wednesday. This doesn't sit very well with me at all, something needs to be done. The fact that China is also North Korea's only ally doesn't make the situation any better. I'm curious from my last post on North Korea's threats to there actions today what you all think. Do you think a war is in the future, or do you think they'll resolve this another way? Will North Korea be punished for there actions, and what should that punishment be? Should they be allowed to test their own military deterrent to prevent attacks from other nations? This will be interesting!

Now isn't it an interesting coincidence that Typhoon Ewiniar is projected to run over North Korea on Monday? A week before Korean Constitution Day, as it happens. Any bets on whether something bad happens to the launch sites during the storm?

We'll have to wait and see.

Dunno why this is negative rated, you don't seem to offer an opintion either way. So +2.
As long as America keeps fucking with countries for its own purposes, other countries are going to look for nuclear deterents. It's just how it goes. I disagree with it, but you can't really blame them. At the moment America is totally acting like it's fucked in the head. Invading whatever country it wants, so certainly, I can't blame these countries for wanting to deter America.
America is total bullshit, until they stop backing Israel they can't really tell anyone to stop acting like cunts.

I think it IS time to worry. China has Korea's back and China has been waiting and building up strength for it's time to take over. China is a big place and it's taken a back seat for the past few decades. Soon it will turn around (probably using Korea as an instigator) and fuck the rest of the world. We'll all be speaking Chinese in 2020. Trust me.

Wait for it...
Wait for it....
If you're wondering what "it" is, it's the post where Brad uses insight from someone who once passed by a poster for a political class talking about how Kim Jong-Il is just a puppet of the Bush administration, and from time to time, they have him act all provocative to make us forget that oil is $73 a barrel and that we're dying in Iraq and that he's using the Masons to build himself this BADASS new supertank that fires lasers in like, 4 different colors and shit.
Just wait for it.

Don't tell anybody but ah...I've tested a few missiles in my day. Couple made it off the ground, but not enough for me to really feel comfortable waging a war.

JOHN HOWARD, AUSTRALIAN PRIME MINISTER
North Korea is in total breach of international obligations in doing this and I hope that North Korea feels isolated and feels the condemnation not only of Australia, the United States and Japan, but also of China, and naturally of South Korea.
This development is very provocative and runs completely counter to the interests of North Korea and the interests of the whole region... Nobody wants this kind of blow-up on the Korean Peninsula. (Speaking to ABC Radio)
HELEN CLARK, NEW ZEALAND PRIME MINISTER
This is completely unacceptable behaviour and does really send it [N Korea] down the road of being condemned as a rogue state. Now, I understand that as we speak urgent consultations have been going on among Security Council members.
SLIM PICKENS, DEAD ACTOR
Yeeaaaaahhhhoooo! WeYaaaaaaaaoooooooohhooooooo!!! (Speaking from atop a nuclear bomb while waving a cowboy hat)

Just be sure to get really ALARMED, people!
Remember, this is the end of the world as we know it!
They're going to kill us all for no reason!
They're madmen and terrorists!
The axis of evil must be stopped!
...buuuuut, just not right now. ;)

I doubt the end is near, but I'm sure soon enough you'll be able to cut the global population in half in no time. Check this out, http://www.ubersite.com/m/89296 if your into end of the world senarios, its a post I put up about a nuclear war senario.

How convenient that we now can sweep the Iran thing pretty much under the rug or put it on the proverbial back-burner since a stalemate was inevitable and all that could come of it was an exposure of America's foreign policy hypocrisy.
Wait a minute people! IRAN is trying to develop nuclear weapons! Don't get distracted!
This is going to be a most interesting game of international cat and mouse. I will be watching with mute amazement, I'm sure.

I googled missle launches by North Korea, not sure how recent that one is, I'm assuming it is from the 1998 launch, but could even be later then that.

The long-range missle that they launched failed after 37 seconds of powered flight. It was over the Sea of Japan at the time and fell harmlessly into the water. It had flown long enough to attain its cruise speed and it's programmed trajectory.
I'm thinking "Satellite-based X-Ray laser".
------------------------------
That is a good point, many people are saying it didn't go far, but who is to say that was the projected area to drop down to not make "too" much international fuss.

I'm ready for WW 3 1/2. Who the fuck cares if Korea has missiles or not, clearly they are still 50 years behind us as far as military technology is concerned. If they have WMD, that means they spent at least 15 years making it. They won't have the balls to strike against America or any other nation for that matter.

If war happens it will be over very quickly. If some one has a WMD then the opposition is fucked. It will either end with a supreme united super Government of the world, or mass Anihalation.
--------------------------
I don't think the resolve will be a nuclear war, but more a costly human loss war.

i understand that a country with this kind of leadership combined with this kind of weapons can make one uneasy but to say they should be "punished" is a rather extreme word considering they didn't actually attack anyone...unlike a certain country...ahem
