Someone finally got the ball rolling, the virus is spreading, an unwelcome postcard from a third world country. It's heading straight for us and we can't dodge the vector. It's the death of a generation, the nights were already getting long, and now their never going to end, endless like a waltz, endless like the ocean, endless like the streetlights. We lived for this day and now we're going to die for it. Grateful? Like an addict for an overdose.

Where are our hearts? They must be buried, stolen, or maybe we forgot to bring em along for the ride. Why should we care, they only get in the way. Home is where the heart is? Then where is home, underground? It's the only safe place? Safer than the carnival rides? All beauty and rust, paradise and iron. We're going to the carnival, safety be damned.

The Empereor had a last command, an ultimatum, a state of the union, the union is sick. "Stay inside, you will be safe. It's under control. 27 times around you'll go, like I said, keep all arms and legs inside the carriage." No one controls the virus. You can control the mind, but not the heart, but what about the loophole, what if there is no heart?

This isn't what you want to do? You don't want to ride the ferris wheel? Round and around it goes, spin me once more baby, I'm only awake for the sake of it. How can you not want to be here? Too late, it's already starting, 27 revolutions, 27 rpm. Impossibly fast, impossibly free, tears are streaming back into my ears, and we aren't even moving? Spinning lights, we're burning the gears, bring me home.

Your face is light, awash with rainbows, stricken with the virus, a succubus, an angel. Don't speak, bask. Bask in the pain, spreading through your limbs consuming your whole, besides, I haven't been listening. My ears quit working when you quit caring. You can't go back on your word, you always said you'd tell me first. I love you baby. My heart is yours. Won't you be my home?

Fuck you then, go ahead and kick me out of my home. Fuck you, go lock your door, you won't feel a thing. Painless, that's what you'll remember, nothing, a flutter, and then nothing. I'll remember. I can't forget, I was alive, in love. I want the pain of living, make it worth it, make me bleed baby. But you always said you tell me first.

Please don't let this end, I don't want to die, smoke is clouding my vision, but nobody's listening. I'm struggling to breathe, smoke in the lungs, smoke in my veins, this won't end well. Finally I can go to sleep, 17 years I've been awake, and the smoke is settling, sleep is inevitable. Your already gone, isolated, alone, alone and dead, like a shipwreck, like an asteroid. You smashed my heart, smashed it cold, with an asteroid, cold like space, cold like the wind on my fingers on the last revolution I'll ever see.

It's been 17 years, I'm finally going to sleep. I'm so tired. But where will I sleep? I've got no home.

I looked up the lyrics, and you've gotta be fucked in the head to think I based this off that or stole ideas from that. Or that it even resembles it.

Go do a line of anthrax, do us all a favor.

a comment to accompany my -2: this is some emo stuff full of raw emotion but lacking strong imagery or even a poetic rhythm. it's based on an overused metaphor (Natalie Merchant's "Carnival", anyone?). Sorry to break the +2 streak.

I have two perfect +2 rated posts made entirely of things like 'its my birthday +2s for all'
'+2 caption contest winner' and '+2 cos noones rated it'. I am the king of bland

That picture is done in the same style as the cover of Pearl Jam's "Touring Band 2000" DVD.

Yeah sorry, I didn't read this one, just thought it would be funny if I repeated that review again.

This really isn't my thing, in fact I found it dreary and incomprehensible, but I hate posting stuff and not getting reviews within ten minutes, let alone two hours, so have a +2.
