For ETS.....
Views of a young, brash, college student.
Okay here goes......
I mentioned in my last response to an ETS post that I was working and I saw something great that I felt was very American thing happening over on the dance floor. Nope there wasn't blood. But there was a comradery that I loved and noticed that I only see here in the states. I will describe this for you and then use it to justify my thoughts and rational for the world as it is.
I don't do political posts. I don't like to. But alas, I have changed my major to Philosophy so I better get used to this shit huh? Here goes.
Last night while I was working at my club last night.(I'm a bouncer). I was working the V.I.P. Section of the bar.
It was a good night. A lot of people were there. I noticed that I saw every single race dancing to every song that played. There was everyone there from Asians, to half Asians, to African Americans, to White farm boys, Emo guys, football players, tough guys, to hot blond, brunette, black haired girls. (Girl's go nuts to Kelly Clarkson's song "Since you've been gone" god damn)
The first thing that caught my eye was this very good looking black girl. She was darker skinned. And was a gorgeous beauty. She had big brown eyes, that went with her dark skin flawlessly, I watched her dance with a skinny white guy, average looking at best, with a tattoo on his arm. I first looked at it as only one dance. But at a closer gander I noticed that they were together and making out right next to the VIP.
Then out of nowhere this little guy came up to me. He was probably half Italian. He was a stocky guy and he came up to me to inform me that him and his buddies had reserved the VIP. (I work at a pretty upscale club in LA. Wish I could tell you where but I can't.)
He was a frat boy as I could tell. Typical. I figured he was going to come in with the typical slew of frat boy douches. You know the type. Polo shirts, or dressed up shirts, pop up collars and that snoody American arrgoance that the foreigners here so like to talk about so.
As I moved the rope for him and his party I was kind of shocked. Well, not really shocked more like in awe. His party was the most diverse frat or people I think I had ever seen.
They walked up with two fat boys that were both equally as fat as each other but after talking to them for about 20mins they if blind I would have thought were brothers. Not frat brothers but real life brothers.
First the fat white one came up to me. He was about 6'3 330pds. He said 'hi' and already started to try and joke with me about being a bouncer and how he could probably bounce me. Then his best friend came in the African American guy. About the same size 6'4 340ish.
They both commence talking to me about how the both played football in college and how they had been best friends since they were 5 years old, I could tell you the schools buy you probably would call bullshit.(Fat white boy went to Harvard, Fat black guy went to U.Oklahoma).
So the rest of their party arrive, They have a squat little Asian guy with them, another 2 other white guys, 2 black girls, and 3 white girls.
I looked at their party and I thought wow! That's a very diverse group of people right there. I started to watch these guys party. And it was hilarious and awesome all at the same time.
The two fat guys weren't normal fat guys. They were the Big Pretty type. (Fat guys who try to dress like pretty boy skinny guys, nice shirts, black shoes, collared shirts etc.... metro but fat.) It was funny watching the fat white guy dance.
Him and his best friend the big black guy were all dancing "You got served" ,"crumping' etc... break dancing. It was funny because they were huge and having a ball. They were poppin' and locking on all the girls. Giving them the booty bounce etc..
They made my job on Saturday awesome. I watched their party and they were all best friends. In every sense of the word. Didn't matter what race, nationality, etc... they were boys for each other. And I saw that and was glad I have that with my friends here. And also wish everyone else has that.
ETS- The entire point of that above story was that "race didn't matter', and I feel only in America will you get that comradery with other and different races. That's what makes us American. Having and being friends with all different' nationalities.
Now back to my true point. ETS you seem to fight for countries that would given a chance switch places with America and have a bayonet on our throats.
One point you must understand is this.
Sometimes the morals of the world, out weigh the morals of a country. In other words when the world as a whole decides something is no longer tolerable a country must comply.
It happened to the U.S. with slavery. The other European country's decided early on that slavery was barbaric and wrong. The United States liked it the way it was. But Britain, France, etc... other nations criticized our country to the point that we had to comply with no more slavery. Even though we fought a civil war to get this across it had to happen. Well because Slavery is wrong.
Who is to say it is wrong? The world. Etc... People.
My above point goes on to this. People often criticize and say "who are we(the western world) to import our values, and ways of life to other country's? Who are we to tell them how to live there life? Who are we to tell them that what they believe a person should do is wrong?
Who are we? We are the civilized world. That's exactly who we are. The morals of the world have weighed in. We have decided that it's not good to stone women to death for showing there leg. We have decided that woman should not be sold as cattle to men to do whatever they want to. We have decided that little girls should not be killed for kissing a little boy.
Because we as the world, have realized that religion is truly a farce.... that is why. We are getting more and more intelligent every day. And intelligence does not breed ignorance. Any real intelligent person will tell you that religion truly is a farce. And it is.
It is used to control populations. America used it to control the blacks through slavery and up until the 1960's. Other countries use it to control there population and especially the under or lower class. Saddam Hassan used it to control his country. And a lot of Muslim extremists's use it to input there plans with suicide bombers and the like.
You have to understand that when the people who run the world realized religion basically is a farce. They had either 2 places to go with it. 1. Keep inputting it into the population to control them. Or 2. Use the thoughts of religion as a farce to basically free people of barbaric living, and savagery that religion inflict's on people.
Religion is a savage beast, It has killed a lot more than I feel it has saved. But it is necessary to have a god, or something that if we do something bad will punish us. Why you ask? Because it will keep most from doing something bad like murdering someone. The true sociopath killers realized that religion is a farce and there really is no punishment for bad deeds. Where do you think serial killers come from?
I realize that you ETS, and others are actually intelligent and saw through the farce that is religion and government. You new that we were going to go after Iraq, after Afghanistan. But you have to understand. ETS is this.

You really think it is that simple to go around the world and save all the starving kids you see on T.V.? You really think it is easy to sit all the leaders of the world in one room and in one table and just say ":Be nice and save lives'?
It is nothing like that. What you have to understand is that mankind is a beast. We are animals to the most primalistic of nature. There will always be greed. And someone is going to do something to set it off.
Put a group of dogs in a room together and watch as one will out of nowhere try and dominate the other. Watch as it happens. You could feed those dogs as much as you want, give them whatever they need. But one in the pack will assert his dominance and take more food, or just take something so someone else doesn't get it. That is dogs.
And men are the same way.
There was a story I read in college it was called the "Ones who walk away from Omelias" .
It was a story about a city that was beautiful. It was made of all mans desires. It had great churches, and walls, and anyone could eat whatever they wanted. People were happy and families lived together and had a grand time. You could go wherever you wanted and do as you pleased. No one stole, or killed or murdered. But the one thing you could not do was go into this one basement at the bottom of the city.
There was a boy at the bottom of the city. And it was ugly, horrid, deaf, and almost mute. Sometimes people would come in to kick at it, and throw it some rubbery meat to eat. It was chained to a wall with open sores all over his body, cuts from lashings, and pain done to it. It was tortured daily. Mentally and physically. It was never given or allowed to bath.
Some people would go to it and ask why it was like that, Why can't it come out and play like the rest of the 11 year old children? And the answer they were given was this. It was decreed long ago that for Omelias to be the great city it was and be given all it must want and need that this boy must suffer. The child had to stay locked up and tortured for Omelia's the city to survive,
Some kids spit at it and heckled it. But there were a few who felt that wasn't right at all. So they decided to walk away from Omelia's. The great city of all their dreams and desires. They decided to walk away from living in basically "Eden" and never having to work. Because to them for one child to suffer any child at all was too much for them to be happy. But to others the need of the many out weigh the needs of the few.

That story was written by an activist I think in the 1970's. It was about how American companies had sweat shops or something in foreign countries or basically America's policy's. You remind me of that story ETS and others like you. You have decided to Walk away from Omelia's huh?
ETS, I'm a very young guy, A little too young to be writing about things so intricate and complex. But one thing I do know is that the world is a hard fucking place.
The horrors that have been inflicted by other nations, as well as our own would keep people up for years. But you have to live your life and be happy with the lot you were given.
The world will never be on the same playing field. It can't be. We (Western countries) are too used to this life style we have acquired. We can't give back land lost, or else rewrite the past. All we can do is live and try and make a better future.
Regardless of how you think. America has made you how you are.
I have lived these luxuries acquired to me by being born here, I don't have to see 11 year-old with AK-47's killing people in my front door step, I don't have to be in a military to get any food or comfort. I don't have to be prosecuted and killed for crimes against the national religion.
I just get to live in a comfortable society for the most part. And that is all it is. Sometimes I wish we would go back into seclusion and worry about our own problems in this country. But since we have every nationality, race, religion within our country we have to look out for our citizen's "home" countries or else where they come from.
It's tough being a world leader ETS, You only worry about your own country. The quality of life is true. It's tough to watch informericals and see starving Africans, Brazilians, Romanians, refugees etc... kids starving in some hut with no parents. I want to yell at them to use condoms but they have not been educated enough to understand the wide use of them.
The world is a rough place. I don't think I can save it. All I can do is understand it.
To change the future, you have to understand the past.
My views on our current situation with the war is this.

I'm scared man. I never thought we would ever go to war with Iraq and then we did. I remember when people would say North Korea, or Iran is next. I thought no, fucking way. But slowly it is starting to look like a reality. Korea is going crazy trying to get more leeway. And Iran is or could be backing them. And were still in a war fighting "Terror" that I don't completely understand.
I think the world will never be the same after all this goes down. I hope it doesn't but I really don't know. But when the chips are down right or wrong I side with my team. A.k.a.: My country.
If you want to be a Benedick Arnold. ETS go right on ahead. It's your right as an American. But you have to see the world for what it is. A jungle. All were trying to do is get the best fucking tree fort possible I guess....
I'm not saying don't care about the world man. I'm saying do what you can. And let the pieces fall where they lye. Don't stop caring just do what you need to do to change your little bit of the world. I try and do what I can when I can. I just know that at my age, and where I'm at I really can't do all that much so I don't worry about it. Nore, do I debate or talk about it. I do my little good deed and leave it at that.
Regardless, you have benefitted from the atrocities of the past. They basically were done for people like you and me. To have a better more comfortable life in this country. It is not what I wanted or do I think that you wanted. But "it is what it is". And that is all. We must live with this world that is created and we must mend the fences broken within our own nation, and other nations across the country. I hope one day I can do my part.

Margin walker- I say there is no race issues but only "Class issues' because I believe that is what it is.
Think about this.
When you went to highschool you probably had friends of differnt' races because they grew up and went to school with you in highschool and grade school etc... These minority's all go off to college with you when you went. And you make bonds and you become friends. Well because they were of the same class as you were. Same background, same neigbhorhood, family probably made around the same income and came from the same area etc.. So you have a friend let's say that is asian. He is an american asian kid.
He may be of a differnt race but he is "you". Basically has the same upbringing as you do. So basically you will both mesh well in the same social enviroment. Then let's say you see some poor asian gang kids in the streets when your out clubbin' or something. Your thought's of FOB "Fresh off the boat" asians may be negative or whatever. And you could never see yourself working with one because they are not as educated as you are. But you remember that your buddy is asian the one you grew up with. You don't see him as the same as the gang asian teens. You see him as just another guy. You might not even see him as "asian" at all but just "Sam" or whatever. Because he grew up in the same enviroment as you.
that is what it is. People of other nationalities get along fine when they have the same up bringing and class. That's all it is. You would probably not get along with a black kid from the ghetto of LA, nore would he get along with you because you were both raised in completely differn't eniverments. But a black kid named DeShawn or something you would get along with if he grew up in the same area, highschool, college as you do. Because your both on the same level and your both of the same class.
America is all about rich or poor, there really is no race issue. Race only gets into it when one of the people in the conflict is poor, and uneducated. Class issues is all it really is. (give or take a few incidents)

Flithy Assissant- I would like to. But this place basically is a mud slinging contest. It is like a little loser club or something.
Only people who are in dead end jobs, bored with life, and hate everything are excepted and allowed to bitch about this or that. Me for instance I thought it would be funny to post some of my thoughts on here. I'm not claiming to be some super smart, or awesome person. I'm just a kinda smart dude lost in the middle of trying to leave and pick a university, rehab my fucked up leg, and basically leave and transfer to a university. It sucks because I'm stuck between maybe giving up a sport I love and just going the school route.
On the stuff on here about me getting accepted into University's as a regular student. I just put that in to show these people that I wasn't some free ride "athelete" that they seem to hate and despise so much on here. I made it a priority of mine to get accepted into the above schools academically to prove something to myself. Sports is what I want to do. But I'm happy to have a couple back up plans and to be working towards a good major.
I really don't like to wave my "mental" cock around. But people here think they are the smartest, greatest, most social, knowledgable, smartest person around. Alot of these idiot's never attended a real or even a good "University" but they feel that they have and do know anything. I could name a few but I won't.
I don't like to comment on poltics, because I don't have what it takes or know what is the first hint to run a country, or else the first policy's of war and etiqutte of the world. No one ON THIS SITE KNOWS WHAT IT TAKES! None of you. Even you "I'm so smart as shit, because I read google, and watch video's idiot's, but I never attended or graduated highschool but it's ok because I read google' idiots.
I kind of laugh at it. I just wanted to play the role people have always seen of me on here I guess. The Athelete guy. You understand? just post about dumb college bullshit, that kids my age would find funny. But that got panned and I really got tired of "Internet Presidents" saying how the world or america should be run when they don't know the first fucking thing about it.
Because I really don't know. That's why I try to refrain from speaking on it.

ETS- I thought you more intelligent than that. That part was speaking on how you think that if "you" ran a senate, or else had the world leaders in a room no matter what you gave any one of the countries they would still want more. One country's greed would get the better of it. And then it would do what it could to try and dominate the other. Because it is human nature. We are all animalistic. Us Americans, to the brits, to everyone. It is human nature to try and get more than your fair share. And countries do it all the time. Shit, people do it at there own dinner table.

ETS- My morals of the world post had nothing to do with the war or what is going on.
It was a fact of the world. When the civilized world meaning "world powers" decree something is wrong. A collective group of the world decree that say for instance that "Selling women as sex slaves is wrong". Then it is deemed as wrong.
Who decides what is right or wrong? People. Soceity. That is it.
I somewhat believe that religion is a farce. I have taken a couple course on religion. I have seen the arguements for why it would be true or not true.
Here are two statements that I would like for you to debate and think about towards the thought of relgion. Both these statments are seen as true but completely oppossite. Took this in my Phil. of religion class.
"God is true, because the human eye is such a complex organ to make it see, it is so intricate and complex that intelligent design must have designed it. Some one or something must have designed it so there must be a god'.
"Religion and god is a farce. Why would god not stop anything bad that happens? If he is god couldn't he will for things to stop? or people to be saved? If there is a god that is inhenrently good then why would he let bad things, such as the innoncent slaying of his children(people that adhere to his religion) die and suffer? And if we take the bible as truth then it would decree that some people were made to be enslaved and others were chosen to be Gods people? And if god chose them what about the aborigines in the middle of the Congo who have no concept of the christian faith or religion? are they doomed to hell? because doesn't the bible say those who don't let god into there life and heart will be doomed to damnation? "
I feel religion the way it is used in the world is basically a farce. There probably is a god like "being" but it is not the god we think we know.
The morals part is this. Just because your country has a religion where things are allowed for instance " The stoneing of women'. Doesn't mean it is not wrong on the moral grounds of being a human being. That is the truth. As the world gets more intelligent and realize's that religion isn't all it was seen as in the past. The more they will try and impose a new "view" on life and the way people are treated. Basically human rights. And when the world decree's something is no longer exceptable such as slavery. Then it must end.
And that is exactly what happened.

At 21 you should be old enough not to use age as either a defence or a crutch.
Getting accepted to a university without reference to your sporting ability is not something that should be commended - it is something that should be expected. Perhaps someone can correct me on this but I can't think of any countries other than america who will bend over backwards to get a below average student into university purely because they can bring glory to the university sports team. It's an academic institution, not a marketing opportunity.
When you criticse people for judging you based on what you post and then in the next sentence do exactly the same to them, it makes you look like a hypocritical retard.

Finally some debate with an intelligent person.
ETS- I do recall back to my school days and I read how they glossed over the killing, dehumanizing, and destroying of an entire race. Black Americans and Native Americans. The history books made it seem as if they were "helping' the savages get modernized. It sickened me.
Not until I went and read on my own did I see the true horrors of slavery and what it has done to that race. That's why it gets me when people make comments towards blacks. They don't realize that they have been ingrained to think less of themselves, and were basically for years written off as "inferior" so it could be justified to hate them and enslave them.

Look, man, we are DRILLED from day one in this country to believe that U.S.A. is #1 and all this baloney - that we are the "greatest country on the planet" - that no one else in the world has the same sorts of rights we do or the same standard of living.
This is textbook nationalistic propaganda and comes directly in through our school system. If you think back on your school days and think real hard, you'll remember the subtle ways they engrained in us these ideas of superiority. The flag was always a central figure in the classroom - hanging right above the chalkboard. We were MADE to stand for the pledge every morning. Before every sports event, there is a national anthem. We were made to think that presidents and founding fathers were basically flawless and noble men in our doctored history books. If you were a student during the cold war days, you'll recall the way in which the U.S.S.R. was portrayed as inferior, yet something to be feared. You had numerous heros...all bearing the American flag somewhere on their uniforms...soldiers, firemen, police, astronauts... There are other more subtle ways as well, like the way that WWII was taught in history class, and the way that 'manifest destiny' was still almost looked on as a good thing. The point is, we were taught to believe we were the priviledged - that we were above others who had gone before us and fallen. After all, WE are the superpower, not them.
Then move on to your family and community... Look at parades on 4th of July. Almost every event imaginable includes some element of nationalism. Why is that a bad thing, you ask? I have my reasons for deploring it; your question to yourself should be, why should you love it?
Nationalism has a history of helping the powerful exploit the weak-minded.
The bottom line is...if someone has to constantly remind you how great something is...there might be cause to question it.

I was just trying to say how diverse the place was and that's how I like it to see it.
I really don't notice this shit at all. But I wanted to convey how it was to me. I also wanted to convey how I felt to see it.

I guess I see your point, that youb elieve that America is diverse and all kumbaya and whatnot..unfortunately I do not think that is the case..maybe for SOME people but certainly not the majority. Though of course it IS the ideal.
