We don't hide from our fears and insecurities. We meet them head on. We don't wear a mask, a mask of non-conformity, this mask of empathy. Do you even know why you wear masks? You think you hide yourself. You think you can cover your fears, your insecurities. No one will know that behind all of your cosmetics, both organic and emotional. But we all know. We have our fears. We all have our insecurities. Our masks are not white with back lining. Our masks are opaque, iridescent. Invisible. We know you can see us, our pain. Our strife. It doesn't make us weak, no, it makes us stronger. Everyone can see us for who we are. Ugly. Shameful. Hungry.
Those of us who wear no mask, we are the inheritance of good people. We are good and just and no matter what we do, if we do wrong, we know it. We can adjust, correct, and move on. We don't cry tears of false tyranny, of vicious accusations. No, we are all that we are. Honesty. We are honest in everything we do, even if the act of honesty is viewed as false, we were honest to ourselves. If you were hurt by this honesty, than truly you have not been honest. To ask yourself why you are hurt is hurtful. You are confronted with the truth, and it shames you because you are false. Two things cannot occupy the same space at the same time.
You are young. You are young in life and experience, but not in emotional turmoil. This is mostly your fault. You have met honest people and it sickens you. I am old. I am old in life and experience. My emotional scars are fading. Just like real scars, if you treat them like a mistake, neglect them or ignore them they will be with you forever. If you acknowledge them, aid them, and nourish them, they will fade. The pain will be a memory, a learning experience. You will not be weaker for having so many scars; on the contrary, you will be stronger.
Stop being a twat. Stop being false. This is the place, a rare place, where you can grow and learn from each other. If not anything else, you will learn when it is too soon to come. How to joke about rape . How to devour souls and spit them back on Word. Do not come here, thinking you are special. You are nothing special. We know this because you are false. The people who are special, these poets of truth, they may not be young. Or pretty. Or even particularly smart. But they are honest. They share themselves and know that they will be rejoiced for being honest, and shunned for being false. This is a good place to be a good person. Don't ruin yourself. Leave or adapt. Change or -2 die. Be gone
