"It's only a game of pool John, why do you feel the need to cheat? You do the same thing at cards as well. It gets on my tits and for fucks sake pack it in"
Mind you we had been drinking for two days solid now so it wasn't any wonder that things were starting to get a bit tetchy. Christ only knew how many drugs we had done or how little food we had eaten.
"And another thing, stop with the Bob Dylan bullshit, the man is a fucking genius. He writes great songs with good melodies. People are gonna worship that fucker. How you can stand there and call him a useless waster with no talent is beyond me. You have a very spiteful mind".
Bloody prostitutes too, we'd had two prostitutes each over the course of the weekend. This wasn't something I usually engaged in, it was all Johns fault.
I suppose I should have seen it coming, he'd got bored with the pool (and the cheating) and was now occupying the seat at the pubs piano. Now I knew this would end up in trouble because it always did.
Sure enough, the first bloke to interrupt him with a shout of "Play something by Donavon" got a right hander and the landlord had us out on the street before our feet could hardly touch the ground.
Fucking John Lennon, that's the last time I have a drink with that cunt.
