"Fucking bitch."
From the mattress lying on the floor, Charlie could see that his whiskey was almost gone. Somewhere during the night it had tipped over on the milk crate night stand, and spilled it's contents onto the brown carpet below.
"Little slut, I know it was you." His words are half mumbled, as the often are with those just coming out of drunken sleep. He sits up and stretches quietly, then grabs the bottle and empties the last swallow of it's contents into his mouth. Tossing it aside, next to the three others decorating the sparse room, he stands and quickly exits.
The trailer is set up like any other, and a short walk brings him to the living room and kitchen area. The girl is there, cooking his breakfast for him. It smells of bacon and fried eggs. There is orange juice and coffee already on the table for him, beside the paper she had to walk a mile to the grocery to get. May knew everything Charlie liked, and tried to always make his favorite things for him. She would do anything to please him, because she loves him. She smiles and sings to herself as she turns the bacon over. She is a pretty, if somewhat plain, Mexican girl. The kind that would be made even prettier if she were in a pretty place. But in Charlie's trailer, surrounded by cheap furniture and cheaper decoration, she is only what some would call 'cute'.
Staring at her for a moment, Charlie remembers when he first found her. He had been a Navajo Tribal Police officer, and came across her walking on the side of Route 666. Her clothes were filthy, and he stopped to see if she needed help. It was then he found out she was an illegal, but had hidden while her family was rounded up by the border patrol. Charlie was amazed she had made it all the way to north Arizona, and decided to help the fourteen year old girl out. He let her live with him, quietly, secretly. That was three years ago.
He walks into the kitchen area, and she smiles when she sees him. Her teeth aren't perfectly straight, but they are good enough.
"Breakfast is almost ready, Charles." She always called him Charles, she said it sounded more dignified.
Charlie grunts and stands at the divide between kitchen and living room, watching the girl's ass through the thin cotton pants she wore.
"What happened to my whiskey?" He demands.
"You had one of those dreams again," she places a plate of food on the table and looks at him lovingly. "You started thrashing around and hit the crates, it was --"
Whatever it was get's cut off by Charlie's fist connecting with her stomach. She stumbles back and hits the table, but stays on her feet. Tears well up in her eyes as she holds her stomach and looks at the floor.
"Don't lie to me, bitch, you did it on purpose. You shouldn't lie to me."
May says nothing, just goes to the stove and starts cleaning up. She knows he loves her, he just has a problem with anger.
Meanwhile, Charlie ignores the food on the table, and instead gets dressed in the cleanest clothes he can find, a pair of blue jeans and a brown shirt with 'It's YOUR fault' printed on it in green letters. On his way to the door, he grabs a check from the top of the TV. Another installment of the settlement from the state of Arizona from when two state troopers mistook Charlie and his partner for a pair of suspected murderers. Charlie was able to sue, his partner didn't make it out of the hospital.
She is waiting by the door for him, with his hat in her small hands. She puts it on his head and runs her hand down his cheek. Charlie leans down and kisses her lips, grabbing her ass with one hand, one of her tits in the other. Yes, she loves him. He is twelve years her senior, but she loves him anyway. He may hit her sometimes, but she loves him anyway. And when she finally turns eighteen, she knows he will marry her.
Charlie leaves, walking past the rusting Toyota truck in front of his trailer. It had not worked for four months now. Tall, dark, thin but muscular Charlie, once a head turner but now looking haggard and worn thanks to two bullets and countless bottles, walks off toward the bank.
As soon as he rounds the corner and disappears from sight, sixteen year old Sam Jones leaves his trailer and quietly enters Charlie's.

Idea:
Jack - Have another trailer park at an opposite end of the town. The two parks might have a deep-seated rivalry stemming from some decades-old family disputes.
I'd like to have Nathan, my character, make his new home in the other, new trailer park.

I'm going to have just a touch of that rivalry when some of your 'whatevers' (give them a good name)appear and harass a 'cherry,' so called because MY mobile home park is on the edge of Cherry Ave.

I call it Nightshade Mobile Home Park.
Your guys can be there too... or there can be another park.
