I've set up a ESPN Fantasy Football League for us NFL SuperFans here in Uberville. If you'd like to join, email me at co_mountain.at.yahoo.com to be invited.
There is room for 16 teams. The scoring is only slightly modified to yield more points week in and week out.
1 QB
2 RB
1 RB/WR
3 WR
1 K
1 Team Defense (could switch to individual if enough players want)
6 Bench
1 IR
-Trade Deadline week 12
-8 Teams make the playoffs
-playoffs: week 13, 14 & 15 single elimination
-no limit on roster moves or trades
-trades only can be cancelled if more than 4 teams veto it
-live online draft date tenitively set for Sun Sept 3 at 9:15 ET (we'll do what we can to accomodate all players)
-FREE... unless everyone decides to throw in $10-20
-you can see the rest of the guidelines when you sign up
...and oh yeah, one more thing...

But can you legitimately argue that had Clark not made the catch that Montana would have been just an average quarterback? I honestly don't think you can, and you can't do the same for Brady either. He's just too good.

I think you can with Brady, but then again I watched all of his UofM games when he kept coming up short. I think if the playoffs end against Oakland he shrinks down the next season. Winning that game gave him an extra swagger which has made him elite.

Wait, so your argument is that had the Pats not benefited from the (ridiculous) Tuck Rule, Brady wouldn't be as good as he is today? The Pats wouldn't have kept getting better and won 20 games in a row a few years later? Interesting theory, Hadley. Wrong, but interesting nonetheless.
Everyone in New England LOVED Tom Brady because of his enthusiasm/lack of Bledsoe-esque mistakes and everyone knew that he was the new face of the franchise and Bledsoe was on his way out. He kept getting better and better as that season went on, then he got even better the next year...now he's one of the premeir quarterbacks in the league.
Now, you could make an argument that the play in question provided a springboard for his career, similar to how Dwight Clark's leaping catch against the Cowboys did the same for Joe Montana back in the '80s. But can you legitimately argue that had Clark not made the catch that Montana would have been just an average quarterback? I honestly don't think you can, and you can't do the same for Brady either. He's just too good.

And Jake Plummer is one of the shakiest quarterbacks in the entire league. He made the Pro Bowl, big fucking deal, so did Kenny O'Brien and Boomer Esiason back in the '80s. And what did those two yahoos have in common with Jake "The Snake"? Neither of them could be counted on to win the big game.
Tell you what, when the Broncos (or any team) wins a title with Jake Plummer, then you can tell us how great he is. Until then, he's just another medicore quarterback with inflated stats thanks to the effectiveness of his running game.

A Lions/49ers game gets A LOT more interesting if you have a Vernon Davis or Roy Williams...

I already purchased the Superfan package on DirecTV...I don't need fantasy football to keep me interested in my favorite sport. I discovered last year that I'd really rather just watch the games than stress out because my starting QB is going up against my favorite team.
Also, someone's already doing this on here, so that's (one of the) reason(s) why no one is replying.
Personally I wouldn't play fantasy football with a group of strangers online anyway. If you can't have a live draft at someone's house and try to work trades over the phone it's just not as fun.
