A joint effort between myself and Ubersite's most infamous villain, Method, to raise money for Hannah, a little girl with an inoperable brain tumor. Everything is working --- all the information is up on the site, and the paypal link is active. The yard sale, as far as I know, went well. I'll consider this a smashing success if we can just raise a thousand dollars for her. That's just a couple bucks from each of you.
Thanks in advance, from Hannah's mother, and from myself. Without your help, I wouldn't have known how to get this idea off the ground. We all joke around and rip on each other and hand out -2's with impunity, but I know that when it comes down to it, you guys have your heart's in the right place.

Look, dude, I respect your opinion, but I disagree. You can donate to help out lots of people, which is good, but a lot of the time you lose track of where your money goes, or how exactly it was spent. With this, you know that it's all going to cover the medical bills of a sick little girl. I think sometimes as human beings, we're faced with the problem of wanting to do so much, that we inevitably wind up doing nothing, paralyzed by the size of the tasks before us. This is a chance to do something small, yes, but extremely worthwhile.

I was going to take a break, but I can't. But I am going to try and relax. What I like most about this (well not most, but a lot) is how this really showed me who the OK people are, and who probably really is a jerk deep down. Like I said, my goal is going to be $10,000. ok i got it to work finally. i hope my 50 dollars is able to help this girl in some way. it would have been more but i just returned from vacation and my 2 credit cards are pretty much maxed and i NEVER use my banking info online. 1 - One hundred dollars? If I had $100 I would do something crazy, like oh say, buy food. I have adapted my body to pretty much survive on coffee and cigarettes. In the end, I find this a cheaper means of existence via caffine and nicotine. However, there are times I find myself craving such things as red meat or an apple.
2 - And while I applaud your efforts here, (and I do believe that this is a legitimate affair) even if I had an extra hundred dollars, I would not donate to this cause. It is nothing personal towards anyone involved, I merely feel that my money could be used better elsewhere. I'd rather see my money go to feeding 50 starving children, or clothing 25. Perhaps this also has something to do with the fact that I don't believe in the so-called "Sacntity Of Life." Regardless, I understand why people have rallied behind you, and I hope you nothing but sucsess in this.
3 - I'm only joke with you when I tell you to "Go out, Get drunk, Get laid," because it seems that you have taken this burdon upon yourself too strongly. I suppose I find it... unsettling... that someone would throw themselves so headlong into something of this nature without any real connection to the person in question. But then again, you are a firefighter, and I guess this is really what you do every day, isn't it? Don't get me wrong, I understand certain things. In the end, I have absolutely no doubt that you truly are a better person than I am. Regardless, I don't want to see you emotionally drained by this. At some point, you're going to have to pull back.
