With only a 1% chance of survival, I think it's pretty absurd to donate money towards chemo treatments that are only going to make life miserable for this poor child. However, I do feel bad for Hannah and her parents so I wanted to help them somehow.
Taking a cue from the Make A Wish Foundation, Kaelic and I decided to take the $1000 that had been raised so far and put it towards finding a celebrity who could come visit Hannah and put a smile on her face. We've both been on the phones all day trying to get something together.
We started out with our sights set on the big names of the celebrity A-List. John Stamos, Tipper Gore, and Joel Siegel were all contacted but graciously declined our offer. Dustin Diamond, Pat Sajak, and Mickey Rooney also turned us down. We were giving up hope, until the most obvious solution suddenly dawned on me. I placed a call to Hilton Head, South Carolina and we were in business.
