Joe Madureira was born in 1974 and is considered one of the most influential artists to introduce Western Manga to American audiences. He began working for Marvel Comics at the early age of 16 and eventually landed a regular assignment on "The Uncanny X-Men." Here his distinct style changed the course of what traditional "Super-Hero" comics looked like in the 1990s and after. Eventually he left to create the critically-loved, but oft-troubled, Image title "Battle Chasers." He has also worked extensively with the video game industry, both as a magazine illustrator and as a concept designer.
Sometimes simply known as 'Joe Mad,' he was nominated as one of the most influential comic artists of all time by Wizard Magazine in the May 2002 issue. The Western Manga style rose to such acclaim after Madureira success, that Pat Lee (the founder of Dreamwave Productions) was quoted as saying, "...when people think of the late '90s in comics, they will think of Joe Madureira."

This website isn't "about" anything to most people it is just a time killer for slow work days. the games that people rate with are just a much a part of it as anything else.

Just because you violently disagree with me doesn't mean you are right. Doesn't mean I am right either. The fact is you are getting pissy because other people are judging things for reasons you don't agree with. I am not going around yelling at people who do no rate filenames negatively, nor would I think it would be acceptably to do so.
You are worried that others might start rating things based on filenames. You give me too much credit if you think I can start that, and too little if you think I would want to. Everyone should rate posts based on their personsal scale. YOU however are trying to force your scale on other people, and are trying to censor the idea of people even using filenames as a way to judge posts. One of the main points of uber-site is that it's (largely) censorship free. That's why I brought up pH, they get rid of the things and people they don't like on their site. That's why I said this is not pH. Things are to be judged based on what the community as a whole thinks of them, not according to the wishes of the elite few.

If you just want people to fucking praise you all the time you already have a perfectly good website for that. Yes, I have given out certain ratings for absolutely no reason, but 1) rarely has it been a negative one , and 2) I don't do it often.

APW is about sharing various artists and works of a visual medium with Uber on one certain day of the week. The text is simply there to give the users background to the beauty in the attachment. Now granted, some individuals don't put in as much work on APW posts as other, but regardless, it is still NOT ABOUT THE FUCKING FILE NAME!

First of all, I don't want some long and lame title for a simple jpg sitting in one of my folders. I don't know how you keep your set up, but mine is quite neat and organized. To achieve this, I would have to RENAME the jpg after submitting it. Why the fuck should I have to do that? "Last chance to add something to the post?" Fucking Christ dude, listen to yourself - IT'S THE FILE NAME OF AN ATTACHMENT!!! I do not, in anyway possible, consider that part of the post. If you do, then either 1) you've been obsessed with this site far too long, or (more likely) 2) this is the grand scheme you've come up with after the fact to mask your desire to harrass people with a random invalid negative two.

As an anime fan, I do enjoy his work. But didn't care seeing the characters of the X-Men series drawn in such a way. I think the best artists for that series was Jim Lee in the early 90's, and then Andy Kubert afterwards.
Also, has anybody done an APW on Michael Turner?

Jim Lee was the very first artist whose style I could pick out. He was an early influence.
Andy Kubert's work makes me want to shove random pointy objects into my eyes to stop the artistic butchery they are witnessing.
Michael Turner's stuff is beautiful, but it all kinda looks the same to me. I don't believe anyone has done an APW to him.
