The government can't keep the roads free of potholes.
The government can't find enough money to fully finance necessary programs (food and shelter for the homeless, better funding for teachers and schools, financial aid for the elderly) and can't manage existing programs without losing money.
The government can't stop sensitive internal information from reaching the press, resulting in leaks that have the potential to impact national security.
The government can't track down stray felons, child molesters, border-hopping illegal aliens and foreign nationals wandering the country on expired visas.
The government can't catch most of the individuals who decide not to pay income tax.
The government can't safeguard their own websites from hackers, and often allow entire databases of personal information of American citizens to fall into the wrong hands.
Yet most of you fucking sheep believe in a vast cover-up, an unimaginable conspiracy in which the United States Government somehow has secured the silence of hundreds of thousands concerning 'what really happened' on 9/11.
Use your common sense, people, and stop wasting your energy.
Common sense tells you that a conspiracy so vast could not be maintained for so long. Someone would talk. Someone always does.
Searching video footage of the collapsing twin towers for suspicious clouds of smoke (aluminum oxide ash or simple smoke glowing under a strong late morning sun?) or trying to see a bomb or missile among the grainy shift of shadow and light on the underside of a doomed aircraft makes you no better than those of an earlier generation who spent countless hours enlarging and examining photos of the JFK assassination and proclaiming that random patterns of shadow and light on the grassy knoll were actually 'Badge Man' and 'Black Dog Man.'
This exercise is identical to the pursuits of fanatics who search the bible for hidden codes, connecting random words to form the messages they want to find.
A careful and coolheaded analysis of EVERY point in this great conspiracy theory shows that they are all hysterical garbage put for by often questionable or discredited sources.
Even though it often looks like there is a face looming in the night sky, there is no man in the moon. It is merely an alignment of random patterns creating what you want to see.
And if you really want to worry about a controlling, scheming, conspiring government, start worrying about the Chinese, you fucking sheep.

Fuck no. It is OBVIOUS Oswald didn't Kennedy, he was set up to be one of many shooters. Looking for men in the shadows of old pictures blown up 1000x is a waste of time. Any photographic analyst will tell you that, as in 9/11 plane photos for example, you are looking at randoms patterns and impressing your own interpretations on them.
The evidence in the Kennedy case is a compelling series of clues, evidence that leads you to the conclusion of a conspiracy. Case in point. Oswald's gun was a piece of garbage. Oswald had a history of average marksmanship. FBI sharpshooters trying to recreate Oswald's X number of shots in Y seconds could not even come close to what he is supposed to have done.
I all of the 9/11 conspiracy theories there is not one single piece of evidence of 'proof' that stands out and cannot be ignored.
9/11 has no Lee Harvey Oswald.

I do think our government needs more accountability and I think traditionally we have allowed it to become so broken through our apathy and willingness to remain blissfully unaware of most things that do not directly affect our lives. I also think that the exploitation and general living conditions of the citizens of China should encourage the population to start asking some questions. And yes, overall I think we should worry about ourselves first and then worry about other sovereign nations.

I "support" ETS because I think the points he brings up need to be talked about. If you carefully examine most of what I have to say about your participation in those conversations its usually pointing out what an unhelpful and negative individual you tend to behave like.
I think people like YOU are equally damaging to the goal of finding the answers. Sure some of the theories are nuts - but You glom on to semantics and fight tooth and nail- steadfastly refusing to pull back your focus and give any validity to the rest of the information. I find your particular approach to discussion distracting.
I think it is important to READ what I say to / about people before lumping me in any specific category. I have many opinions about many things.
As far as Jack's post is concerned- it is FAR to limited in scope. We NEED to be asking more questions. As crazy and misguided as some of the more intense conspiracy theorists can be- typically they are just picking up on some important discrepancies and applying their own version of reality to them. While I don't always agree with where they go on their extrapolations... what they are basing their theories on is typically worth further investigation.
Yes, ultimately we need to hold our government accountable... which really means we need to hold >US< accountable. The separation shouldn't exist. In any definition of democracy "we the people" creating a government for the people.
We have just let those fuckers get away with being useless and destructive too long. It's time to take that power back.

I'll make this a +1 overall, because I don't actually read anyone else who covers for ETS.
But I do have to say, the numbers who DO believe it are VERY small compared to those who think the government is just doing a "Oh man, we fucked up." coverup.
Of which it seems we're both a part of.

Exactly. There may be a degree of cover-up, but it is of the cover-your-ass variety, not a conspiracy.

In last week's 'New Yorker', there was a great article about foreign intelligence gathering, specifically in the Middle East and particularly about al-Qaeda.
The story focused on the the FBI investigators who were looking into the USS Cole bombing, and all the bad dudes they talked to.
The bottom line of the story was that the CIA had knowledge of the whereabouts of the 9/11 hijackers, yet they decided not to furnish the FBI with this information. Those guys were living in San Diego for a year, and the CIA didn't tell the FBI.
Now, the FBI would have been watching them then, probably even brought them in for questioning, so we don't know if the 9/11 attacks could have been 'prevented'.
BUT, the FBI certainly would have put the fear of Allah into those fucklers - the CIA knows it, and that's why they're hiding.

Erm, I don't believe I've ever "naysayed" Jack. I just don't like the sheep comment, as very few people aside from that lunatic ETS actually believe there is a massive cover-up regarding September 11th.
However, I just read ETS's last pile of dripping shit, so here's a +2 to even my rating on this to a zero.
Also, if anyone wants to chip in to have ETS killed by the government, I'm in for fifty.
