I find it difficult to convey what I see everyday through this language of ours. The eye captures way more than wording like 'a grey day' will ever do justice to. I've been through many a grey day in my time, yet any description or photograph is infinitely more inept than the piercing contrasts and feelings only I will have in my head using my eyes and mind at any given time.

There are moments in certain destinations, at certain times, that we are lucky enough to be graced with that we deem to be an aesthetically pleasing sight. Some are entirely unforgettable.

If I could count the amount of times I wished I had my camera on me when uncontrollably placed in these moments I would kick myself for wasting time counting when I could be out looking for another.

I find little comfort in our daily lives. I say 'our' because the way we live has been setup by us all; this is apparently what we all want. Confusion wrings at me on a daily basis, for I know not what all this is actually for. There is far too much in this world that we've created that tempts us to fling ourselves off bridges. Luckily, there's an even greater good that compels me to stay.

These are pictures I've taken from various places around Ontario, Canada. They are an insight into some of these moments I've experienced, but only an insight. About one quarter of what was actually absorbed.

Taken with Canon Elph Jr. and Canon Powershot A520 (Not the greatest cameras, I know. But I like 'em enough.)
Enjoy.

These photos are amazing, I can't decide which is my favorite.

And the beauty is a bonus, because I really just came to give you a +2 when for when I came across this:

"Doo doo doo doo, doo-doo, do-Wah!'
It doesn't matter what comes, fresh goes better in
life, and Mentos is fresh and full of life.
Nothing gets to you, staying fresh staying cool,
with Mentos, fresh and full of life.
Fresh goes better, Mentos freshness, fresh goes
better with Mentos, fresh and full of life!"

The scene is a classroom, where a student who
obviously didn't study is trying to cheat on a
test. The girl next to him catches on and tries to
obstruct his view of her test. The boy pops a
Freshmaker, gets up, and strangles the life out of
her. He takes her test paper and sits back down.
The teacher, horrified and shocked at what just
happened is standing there, her mouth agape. The
boy whips out his roll of Mentos and displays them
proudly to his teacher, who clearly will not
punish him now.

Ever taken a picture of a Lunar Halo? It's quite hard because there is no such thing.

Nice pictures, eh. I have a Canon sd630. It's pretty nice, but I'm in love with the idea of owning a digital SLR.

I think my favorite thing anyone has ever said to me online, is some guy on a forum said they went to my website and that my pictures were worse than the ones his three year old daughter takes and that I suck.

Surprisingly unpretentious for an Ubersite topic. I like that picture of the moon, very gorgeously grim.

It has taken a lot of willpower lately for me to not quit my job and just wander into the wilderness on a voyage of exploration. These pictures don't help my willpower.

I liked all of them except for the tree/powerline combo. Wasnt of the same caliber as the others...
_______

Fair enough. I liked it simply because of how it turned out. It was snowing very heavily late at night and the street lights gave everything a yellow-glow, so I turned the flash off and took a random shot; turned out really spooky because of the shaky-ness.
I guess it's the minority of this post... there's always one.
