Commenting on the arrests of suspects in the British bomb plot recently, President Bush said, "This nation is at war with Islamic fascism."
American Muslims went apeshit.
We immediately saw statements in the press in which Muslims in this country expressed outrage against the terrorists, something we only see after the release of a statement such as the one by the President.
The Muslim community never beats the rest of us to the gun in condemning terrorist acts. They only comment after someone makes what they see as a disparaging remark.
In a letter to Bush (various news sources) the chairman of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, Parvez Ahmed, condemned the latest terror actions and also said, "Unfortunately, your statement this morning that America 'is at war with Islamic fascists' contributes to a rising level of hostility to Islam and the American-Muslim community."
The ones planning these deadly acts ARE Islamic fascists. Have we found any Catholics or Jews among them? NO.
They are Islamic fundamentalists who have twisted the Koran to their own needs, and are pushing for an expansion of fundamentalist, fascistic Islam around the globe.
Osama bin Laden has said, "We should fully understand our religion. Fighting is a part of our religion and our Sharia [Islamic Law]. Those who love God and his Prophet and this religion cannot deny that. Whoever denies even a minor tenet of our religion commits the gravest sin in Islam."
This contradicts claims that Islam is the religion of peace.
Further reading of bin Laden's statements clearly show his thinking, and the thinking of all the 'home-born' terrorists he has inspired outside the Middle East, is a violent perversion of Islam and the Koran.
"We--with God's help--call on every Muslim who believes in God and wishes to be rewarded to comply with God's order to kill the Americans and plunder their money wherever and whenever they find it. We also call on Muslim ulema, leaders, youths, and soldiers to launch the raid on Satan's U.S. troops and the devil's supporters allying with them, and to displace those who are behind them so that they may learn a lesson." Parvez also said, "Just today, Gallup released a poll indicating that four out of ten Americans feel 'prejudice' toward Muslims."
In a perfect world there is no excuse for feeling this way about all Muslims when it is only a select few planning or carrying out these destructive acts. Yet it is hard to blame this four in ten. Odds are they are not highly educated, and instead of absorbing news from a variety of sources, they only react to a few headlines.
Consider this. When, in the last ten years, did you read news coverage of a bombing or suicide attack that did not involve Muslims? The simple fact is that most of the unrest in the world at this moment is being caused by Muslim fundamentalists, something apologists try to defend or ignore.
Americans who express fear of or prejudice against Muslims are condemned and called ignorant... yet we see no similar treatment of the frenzied masses in the Middle East continually being stirred into a bloodthirsty frenzy by clerics and madmen like Osama.
You can't have it both ways, you Muslim bastards.
Sooner or later the pussified left who are so desperately appeasing Muslims even now by condemning Israel in the latest mid-east conflict will wake up and realize that in a few short weeks Hezbollah have fired three thousand rockets at Israel.

Hezbollah have launched rockets from residential neighborhoods and intentionally targeted Israeli civilians. When the Israelis fight back, they are accused of slaughter.

This was a letter to Blair from a number of Muslim Leaders in the UK.
Concern for civilian life? Where were they when their fellow clerics were preaching hate? When did they demonstrate agsinst riots that killed people and destroyed hundreds of businesses all over cartoons?
Where is there condemnation for Hezebullah starting the current conflict, where is there condemnation fro hezebullah using civilians as shields?
Where are they raising their voices against the 12,000 killed and hundreds weekly still being killed by insurgents in Iraq.
The bottom line is they don't care about civlians being killed, they don't even really care about muslims being killed, they only care when a non-muslim kills a muslim.
Say what you want about Israel or the jews, but they protest against their govt's actions, they don't celebrate the deaths of civilians, what do you see in the muslim world?
This isn't all muslims, but I have yet to hear a truly "moderate" muslim voice in the western world that has strong support. Especially when I read that "four out of 10 British Muslims want sharia law introduced into parts of the country"
